Roman Safiullin vs Francisco Cerundolo Prediction: Safiullin Back In Form
- Prediction: Safiullin -2 Games
- Best Odds: 1.88
- Bookmaker: Pinnacle

Odds updated at 4:00 am UK Time on November 6th, 2024.
It’s hard to oppose Safiullin with his form at the moment. He’s got the weapons, the surface edge and the form on his side. On the other hand, Cerundolo may not be in form, but he does have a strong game himself and has lost a lot of close sets, so it’s not like he’s been terrible.
In the end, I’m going to back the guy with a big, powerful, aggressive game who has been on fire and probably isn’t overly tired off a title, considering he won each of his matches last week in straight sets and wasn’t on court for too long.
Roman Safiullin Recent Form
Though it was only a Challenger level tournament that Safiullin won in Slovakia, it was a higher level Challenger and he did defeat some pretty strong opponents en route to the title.
Kei Nishikori, Marc Andrea Huesler and Aslan Karatsev are all dangerous opponents and he dispatched them with relative ease.
The big serve, groundstrokes and aggressive game are all conducive to quick conditions, especially since he can keep points short and minimise his unforced error total.
Francisco Cerundolo Recent Form
After losing a series of close matches earlier this fall, Cerundolo picked up a pair of underdog wins in Paris before losing in three sets to Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The return game hasn’t been the greatest and it probably comes down to having less time than he would have on his preferred clay courts.
If he was playing someone who had a bit less power and gave him more time on return, I’d probably pass on this price, but this should be a tough matchup for him.
Roman Safiullin vs Francisco Cerundolo H2H – Stat of the Match
Safiullin won the lone match these two have contested. That was at Wimbledon a few months ago, with the 27-year-old coming back from two sets down to defeat his Argentinian counterpart.
