Mirra Andreeva vs Ekaterina Alexandrova Prediction, H2H - 4/17/25

Compatriots Mirra Andreeva and Ekaterina Alexandrova square off in the second round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix on Thursday in Stuttgart.
Mirra Andreeva had to watch her sister limp off the court early, as Erika Andreeva retired from their first-round clash in the second set.
Alexandrova bashed her way into the second round with a convincing win over Liudmila Samsonova, but is a heavy underdog today against Andreeva.
EJ Garr’s prediction for Mirra Andreeva vs. Ekaterina Alexandrova features odds of -111, which you can find below.

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time on April 17, 2025. Odds may now differ.
It was unfortunate to watch Erika Andreeva approach the bench and proclaim defeat against her sister in the first round. Mirra and Erika exchanged a quick hug, shook the ref’s hand, and we can assume the right knee injury for the younger sister isn’t good.
Andreeva plowed past her sister with a 6 – 2 opening frame, and up 1 – 0 in the second set, Erika knew she couldn’t get back into the match and walked off with the loss.
Mirra looked like herself, comfortable and cruising against her sister, who is never an easy opponent. Being responsible for sending your sibling home sucks, but Mirra will be happy to advance.
Andreeva and Alexandrova haven’t met on the WTA Tour, so it will be interesting to see how they approach each other.
Alexandrova bashed 10 aces against Samsonova in the first round, while Samsonova couldn’t keep her service game in order. With eight double faults, Samsonova couldn’t stave off Alexandrova being broken five times, and now we get another high-profile match.
Andreeva is heavily favored with odds flying past -300, and I see lines as high as -333 at BetMGM for her to win this match. I have said before that I am not one to fade Andreeva because the girl has game and will be tough out all season long.
Ranked 7th in the World, Andreeva is now the one being chased, and let’s not forget… 17!!
Andreeva is a -300+ favorite against a 29-year-old veteran ranked 22nd on the WTA Tour.
Give me Andreeva to cover the -4.5 games at -111 odds!
MIRRA ANDREEVA RECENT FORM
Mirra Andreeva will turn 18 in two weeks (April 29), and her accomplishments before getting there have been amazing.
Andreeva jumped to 16th in the WTA rankings last season and was in the top 10 this season after wins in Dubai and Indian Wells.
The 17-year-old has four ITF clay titles and won Iasi a season ago on the dirt, and is 57 – 14 on this surface since 2022.
EKATERINA ALEXANDROVA RECENT FORM
Ekaterina Alexandrova went 3 – 1 in Charleston to get the clay swing started, but a loss to Jessica Pegula in the semifinals left her short of the title.
A potential clash with Pegula could be in store for Alexandrova should she upset Andreeva, but the odds are stacked against her.
Alexandrova has the same number of clay titles as you and I… None! And she went 1 – 7 in eight appearances on the dirt last season.
ANDREEVA VS ALEXANDROVA HTH – STAT OF THE MATCH
This is the first meeting between Mirra Andreeva and Ekaterina Alexandrova.
The winner of this match will face Magda Linette or Jessica Pegula in the quarterfinals of the Porsche Grand Prix.
