Mananchaya Sawangkaew vs Cristina Bucsa WTA Singapore Open Prediction: Spaniard Favored To Reach Quarterfinals

  • Prediction: First-Set Over 9.5 Games
  • Best Odds: +110
  • Bookmaker: Bet365
  • Stakes: 3/10

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time on January 28, 2025. Odds may now differ.

Cristina Bucsa earned a big win over Emma Raducanu as a +270 underdog in the opening round of the Singapore Open. Now, the Spaniard is favored at -175 to defeat Sawangkaew so the pressure to win has shifted.

Playing as an underdog or as a favorite can affect a player’s performance although it depends on each athlete. Some women don’t even consider the lines because when you are ranked outside the top 100 it doesn’t matter.

Bucsa starts the week ranked 101st on the WTA Tour and Sawangkaew isn’t far behind at 132nd. Rankings are just numbers and the numbers we need to worry about don’t rely on a player’s rank.

Bucsa’s win over Raducanu was a big effort from someone expected to get dismantled to open the event. Raducanu was listed at -365 when that line closed and the Brit flopped like a fish with a first-round exit at Singapore.

There were 17 breaks of serve in the Raducanu vs. Bucsa match and counting on the Spaniard to win in straight sets means she better correct her service game! Mananchaya

Sawangkaew and Sijia Wei were just seen half an hour ago breaking each other again in downtown Singapore!! HA! Sawangkaew won the match in straight sets but there were 15 breaks in that first round clash!

Watch them break their way to a first set that goes Over 9.5 Games with +110 action on the board.
