Leolia Jeanjean will play Suzan Lamens in the second round of the Argentina Open on Wednesday with a quarterfinal appearance on the line in Buenos Aires.

The Netherlands native is the favorite to reach the quarterfinals in this WTA125 event at odds up to -225. Lamens cruised past her first-round opponent and is expected to bash her way past Emiliana Arango with ease.

EJ Garr’s Leolia Jeanjean vs Suzan Lamens prediction calls for the favorite to excel and you can check out his tip at +120 odds below.

Leolia Jeanjean vs Suzan Lamens WTA Argentina Open Prediction: Going Dutch in Buenos Aires

  • Prediction: Suzan Lamens 2 – 0 Correct Sets
  • Best Odds: +120
  • Bookmaker: Betway
  • Stakes: 3/10

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time on November 27, 2024. Odds may now differ.

We’re going Dutch in lovely Buenos Aires so let me cut to the chase.

Suzan Lamens will win this match convincingly and the -225 line on the Netherlands native is rather steep for a reason. The -4 handicap is listed at -105 and there isn’t much meat on the bone for a play on that either.

Instead, the +120 offer at Betway sounds appealing enough with a semblance of value attached to the action. I don’t foresee Jeanjean putting up enough of a fight to neither cover the spread nor upset Lamens outright.

Lamens and Jeanjean are getting acclimated to the clay after some lengthy time away from the surface. Suzan Lamens hadn’t seen the dirt since August 4th and the Dutch native was probably glad to see it end as she went 0 – 3 before returning to hard court action.

Lamens returned to clay in the Colina Challenger last week and tourney winner Nina Stojanovic dismissed her in the first round. It extended Lamens’ losing streak on the dirt to 4 outings before the first-round win over American Robin Anderson on Monday.

Jeanjean started the week ranked 179th on the WTA Tour but the France native played on clay into October and went 10 – 2 on hard courts before reaching the second round of the Colina Challenger last week.

I’ll call for a 6 – 3, 6 – 4 win for the Dutch native and put the 2 – 0 correct score prop on the board at +120.
