Emma Navarro has had Jasmine Paolini’s number since turning pro, and the American lands the role of favorite in this quarterfinal clash at the Wimbledon Championships.

Navarro and Paolini are setting milestones with every win at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London this year. Paolini is doing things no Italian has done in the Open Era, and Navarro has her eyes on the first Major title of her young career.

Emma is listed as a considerable -200 favorite and EJ Garr’s Jasmine Paolini vs Emma Navarro prediction reflects as much with a +138 offer that you can check out below!

Jasmine Paolini became the first Italian to reach a quarterfinal at Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same campaign since the Open Era and now faces a tough test against favored Emma Navarro.

Paolini’s run in Paris that ended in the finals was filled with magical moments, and we will never know how the match with Madison Keys would have concluded in the fourth round had Keys not had to walk off the court.

Regardless of how Jasmine got here, neither the line setters nor I like the Italian’s chances to reach the semifinals. I am so impressed with Navarro’s quiet confidence, as you see no emotions similar to Naomi Osaka.

A point won or a shot missed doesn’t reveal anything from the American’s poker face, and that is the cerebral assassin approach that has worked out quite well. Controlling emotions makes any player stronger on the court, and Emma is the one to beat in this tournament now.

If you haven’t seen the outrights odds board entering the quarters, Emma Navarro is only trailing Rybakina (+120)  at +450, so she is now one of the favorites to win a Major title. That is a lot of respect for a player who has never reached a Major final much less held hardware!

I respect Paolini’s run to the French Open finale, but I think her tournament ends in the quarterfinals. Put up the 2 – 0 Correct Sets prop with the expectation that Navarro sweeps the Italian off the court in straight sets.

JASMINE PAOLINI RECENT FORM

Jasmine would have rather won her match against Madison Keys than see the American walk off injured but she will take a quarterfinal appearance. That match was 5 – 5 in the third set, so Paolini was still on the court for quite some time under the pressure as a +225 underdog.

Anyone following the WTA knows that Jasmine reached the finals at the French Open, and she can further make history as the first Italian to reach the semis on the clay and grass Major.

Paolini had a career record of 4 – 12 on the grass entering this season, and this season the Italian is 6 – 1 carrying the momentum from her 10 – 4 clay swing that ended in Paris.

EMMA NAVARRO FORM

Emma Navarro is ranked 17th on the WTA Tour and the 19th seed at Wimbledon as she competes in her first Major QF.

Navarro is 40 – 15 this season and 7 – 2 on the grass favored to pick up win #8 on Tuesday in London. Emma put up a 7 – 2 record in 2023 on the grass, and in 2019 she reached the semifinals at Wimbledon in her only event played on this surface that season.

PAOLINI VS NAVARRO HTH –  STAT OF THE MATCH

Emma Navarro and Jasmine Paolini have met three times since September of 2023.

Navarro has never lost to Paolini and the American has won 6 of the 7 sets between them.

In their only 2023 clash at San Diego, Navarro got past Paolini in straight sets, 7 – 5, 6 – 0.

This February in Doha, Navarro once again beat Paolini in straight sets. They most recently met in Miami this past March, and the match went the distance with Navarro earning a third win over the Italian in three tries.
