Eudice Chong vs Jia-Jing Lu Prediction, Picks, Odds, H2H, Stats - 11/12/24
Eudice Chong and Jia-King Lu square off on Monday in the first round of the Brisbane QTC Tennis International and the Hong Kong native is listed as the slight favourite.
Pinnacle is showing a -122 offer on Chong to advance to the second round in Brisbane but the 397th player on tour is facing a 7-match losing skid.
Jia-Jing Lu is listed at -109 to get past Chong, so there will be some juice to drink for either player to win this opening-round clash.
EJ Garr’s Eudice Chong vs Jia-Jing Lu prediction features odds at -109 which you can find below.

Eudice Chong vs Jia-Jing Lu WTA50 Brisbane Prediction: A Coin-Flip Decision

Odds updated at 7:00 am UK Time on November 12 2024.
Eudice Chong has entered seven straight events and has left them all without a win since mid-August. Chong started the North American swing with a win in Cleveland and it’s been a rough go for the Hong Kong native over the last 2+ months.
Chong did win the Hong Kong WTA35 event to begin July but most of that confidence has been ripped to shreds. Seeing Chong favored in this match is strange but because we have to pay for Lu, that stands out as the play to make for me.
Chong is 28 years old and this should have been a campaign in her prime after five straight winning seasons. Things have not worked out this season as her ranking has dipped from 282 to 397 and the Hong Kong native has only won two sets over the seven-match slide.
Jia-Jing Lu doesn’t have much confidence to rely on which makes this match the coin-flip that it is. Lu hasn’t won more than two outings in the last nine events and you should take this tip lightly because who knows what we’ll get today.
I am lowering all the unit bets to 1 this week because these players are ranked outside the top 300 and I don’t usually cover these low-level events.
If you are betting on these ITF/Challenger-level events, you already know how difficult it is to rely on consistent play which is why Chong and Lu are ranked so far down the board.
A small bet at 1U on Lu to take the win.
IGA SWIATEK RECENT FORM
Iga Swiatek banked win #60 for the third consecutive campaign with the win over Barbora Krejcikova at the WTA Finals.
The Polka native is competing in the 70th match of the campaign and has been vocal about the length of the season. She’s not alone in expressing those feelings and we have heard many players say the same about how long the season can be on the WTA Tour.
The Summer Olympic Games added another event to the campaign in a year filled with tournaments, and Iga has spent plenty of time on the court for the last three years.
JIA-JING LU RECENT FORM
Lu is 3 – 6 over the last 9 outings and the Chinese native has jumped 100 points from 354 to 254 from 2023.
With a 27 – 20 hard court record, Lu is 31 – 23 on the verge of a second consecutive winning campaign.
CHONG VS LU HTH – STAT OF THE MATCH
Chong defeated Lu in their only meeting last season in Hong Kong at a WTA40 event.
The winner of this match will face either Alexandra Bozovic or Nina Vargova in the second round of the Brisbane QTC Tennis International. I will have that match prediction on the site today so be sure to check that out!
