Elena Rybakina vs Mirra Andreeva Prediction, Picks, Odds, H2H, Stats - 2/21/25

Elena Rybakina and Mirra Andreeva will kick off the semifinals at the Dubai Championships in the first of two big clashes set for Friday evening.
The line setters declare no favoritism toward either player, so we have a coin to flip regarding the winner of this match that will send someone to the finals.
With the continuing theme of upsets this week, Andreeva wiped out Iga Swiatek in straight sets to earn her place in the semis. Rybakina fought off a comeback from Sofia Kenin and earned a straight-sets win as all four quarter-finalists swept their opponents on Thursday.
EJ Garr’s prediction for Elena Rybakina vs. Mirra Andreeva features odds at +131, which can be found below.

Elena Rybakina vs Mirra Andreeva WTA Dubai Championships Prediction: We’re Going The Distance
- Prediction: Match Total Over 2.5 Sets
- Best Odds: +131
- Bookmaker: Pinnacle
- Stakes: 3/10
Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time on February 21, 2025. Odds may now differ.
Another stunning result transpired on Thursday as the underdog theme continues at the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Mirra Andreeva was listed at +220 odds against the World’s #2 Iga Swiatek, but that didn’t stop her from sweeping the Polska native out of the event in straight sets.
Being favored in Dubai hasn’t meant an easy win for anyone this week, and two more upsets happened in yesterday’s quarterfinals. I’ll be covering the Tauson vs Muchova affair today to discuss the other upset and will give a prediction for that semifinal match in Dubai.
The 17-year-old has reached her first semifinal at the WTA1000 level, and Andreeva is facing even odds to win another top-10 clash. Rybakina is ranked 7th on the WTA Tour, and Andreeva isn’t far behind at 14th.
This isn’t poker, but Aces were on the table for both of these ladies in their semifinal wins. Andreeva blasted 10 aces past Swiatek, and Rybakina reached a miraculous 17 against Kenin in the quarters.
I expect more of the same today, and the games will start to add up early. Pinnacle is offering +263 odds on the Over 10.5 games in the opening set of this semifinal affair, so when they get to 5 – 5 we’ll have our first cashed ticket.
BetMGM has -295 and -275 for them both to win one set in this match, and that will point me to the Over 2.5 sets with some value left at +131. We’re going the distance!
ELENA RYBAKINA RECENT FORM
Elena Rybakina went 3 – 1 at the United Cup to open the season, and the Kazakhstan native is 13 – 4 to open the 2025 campaign.
Rybakina is likely happy to not have to face Swiatek who has owned her lately, but Mirra Andreeva will not make life any easier today.
With title wins at Brisbane and Dubai on hard courts last season, Rybakina was 48 – 11 in 2024 and added the Stuttgart trophy on clay last season.
MIRRA ANDREEVA RECENT FORM
Mirra Andreeva reached the seminfials of this year’s Brisbane event, and followed that up with three wins at the Australian Open.
Andreeva is 11 – 3 in 2025 and has produced three straight campaigns with a winning record.
The 17-year-old hasn’t dropped a set in four wins this week in Dubai, and is two wins away from her first hard court title on the WTA Tour.
RYBAKINA VS ANDREEVA HTH – STAT OF THE MATCH
Elena Rybakina defeated Mirra Andreeva in 2023 at Beijing, but needed three sets to advance.
The pair met last December at the WTL and Andreeva won the only set of the match, 6 – 2.
The winner of this match will face Clara Tauson or Karolina Muchova in the finals of the Dubai Championships.
