Diana Shnaider and Marta Kostyuk carry the 4 and 5 seed in the upper bracket of this WTA500 event in Seoul and they are only separated by two spots in the WTA Rankings. 

Shnaider holds that advantage ranked 16th on the WTA Tour and has made an impressive jump from 93rd entering the campaign. With titles on all three surfaces in 2024, the 20-year-old International is on the verge of a 50-win season (47) and we’re not talking about ITF and Challenger events this year. The most impressive part of the last few months for Shnaider is the losses she has dealt with and I’ll explain. 

If Diana Shnaider didn’t have to deal with Jess Pegula and Leylah Fernandez she would be a perfect 13 – 0 since the start of the North America swing. Those two losses to Pegula are against a player ranked in the top-10 and a win over Coco Gauff in Toronto was a nice confidence booster.

Marta Kostyuk manhandled Heather Watson as I expected she would, but seeing a -150 on the Ukrainian win is a little too juicy for my comfort level. A line like that makes me want to jump on Shnaider to pull the upset at +130.

Shnaider and Kostyuk will win a set in this match so buckle up for an affair that goes the distance! At +137, Pinnacle offers the best line on the Over 2.5 Sets prop.
