Camila Osorio is listed at -135 to defeat Victorio Mboko, but victory will not come without a good fight from the upstart Canadian.

The 18-year-old Mboko was born in North Carolina and calls Canada home, but don’t let that 162nd ranking fool you. Mboko is on the rise and her length comes in handy, and has a solid backhand she uses quite well to steal points.

Notice that Mboko is only priced at +115 to pick up a first-round win at a WTA1000 event, and what a start to the campaign it’s been. Mboko reeled off 22 straight wins to begin the 2025 season and has already claimed five ITF titles. Oh, she didn’t even drop a set during that run, which is stupidly impressive!

Mboko is expected to win a set in this match according to BetMGM, and -225 odds to do so makes a statement about her chances to compete against Osorio.

Camila Osorio hasn’t exactly come out of the gate strong in 2025. The Colombian native is 5 – 4 to start the season, and a win over Naomi Osaka is her biggest triumph to start the year. Mboko is a tough out and Osorio will not sweep this match. As long as Mboko can keep her composure, she could just as easily upset Osorio!

I see this as a match that goes the distance, and the +142 odds on the Over 2.5 sets prop go in as the play to make.

Camila Osorio has lost two of the last three outings but did give Clara Tauson a good battle before being ousted at Indian Wells. 

With a 5 – 4 record in 2025, Osorio is eager to get on the clay, which is her best surface.

Osorio was 34 – 22 in 2024 and has gone 15 – 7 on clay over the past two campaigns.

The Colombian native is ranked 54th on the WTA Tour and has yet to crack the top 50 in her career.

VICTORIA MBOKO RECENT FORM

Victoria Mboko has lost one match in 2025. With a 25 – 1 obnoxious record, the American-turned-Canadian has made quite an impression in the WTA. 

With a 25 – 15 record in 2024, Mboko has already tied her best record with 25 wins and we’re barely through March.

Mboko was ranked 333rd to start the season and has jumped to 162nd in only two months.
