Will the real Barbora Krejcikova please stand up? The Czech Republic native needs a confidence-boosting win in Wuhan and you would think landing a player outside the top 100 would be a perfect way to get some of that back.

I am not buying anything Krejcokova is selling right now and her game seems to always slide down to her opponent. The bigger the match the more you can expect out of Krejcikova but when she gets in these situations she struggles to get her game together.

This is a situation that I am calling for three sets because Krejcikova isn’t playing her best tennis and Baptiste is feeling good about herself after three wins in Wuhan.

These two have never met on the WTA Tour and Baptiste has a chance to take out a top-10-ranked Krejcikova. Let’s get a little bold here and predict that Hailey Baptiste will win the first set of this match so how does that grab you? 

Bold as it sounds, at +125 that is not such a disrespectful line for someone who is a big underdog on Tuesday in China. At -175, Baptiste is expected to win at least one set in this match at BetMGM and it will be the opening frame. 

Krejcikova was -2.5 when this match came to be, and now that line is inflated to -3.5 because the public can’t lay off the Czech native to cruise to an easy win. Good Luck with that!

Krecjikova is ranked 10th on the WTA Tour and is playing more like someone who should be outside the top 40! 

After that incredible run to the Wimbledon trophy, Barbora stunk up the joint at the US Open losing to Gabriela Ruse. The one-and-done in Beijing was another miserable performance for Krejcikova with the loss to Jacqui Cristian.
