Timea Babos enters French Open qualifying placed 196th in the World WTA Rankings 45 spots below Parrizas-Diaz (151st). We have a coin-flip situation here, as BetVictor offers Babos and Parrizas-Diaz at -110 to advance in Section 11 of qualifying.

Babos has a 6 – 5 record on clay this campaign, although it has been 10 days since her last match in Florida at the W-75 Event in Zephyrhills. The Hungarian native achieved an 18 – 6 record on clay with two titles on this surface in 2023, albeit in lower-level W25 events.

Timea has struggled on clay over her career and at 31 years old she has produced a losing record on the dirt in 8 of her 15 years on tour.

Nuria’s recent form on clay is full of disappointing results in 2024. With a 1 – 6 record on clay, Parrizas-Dias is now 13 – 13 overall for the season and is slowly watching her rank fall. 

Nuria was ranked 70th in 2022, and after falling to 125 in 2023 she is now outside of the top 150.
