Is the number 13 good luck or bad luck? Well, Ana Potapova has broken her first two opponents 13 times, propelling her to the Tennis in the Land Tournament quarterfinals in Cleveland.

The one thing these two ladies have done well lately is walk off the court with losses, making this a tricky affair to bet on. Potapova is 3 – 6 over her last nine outings and before this event, Ana Bogdan was carrying a 6-match losing skid into qualifying for the main draw in Ohio.

Holding serve is a big part of advancing in any tournament and you can ask Jessica Bouzas Maneiro all about that. Maneiro competed with Siniakova in Cleveland and was serving while up 5 – 4 in the third set. She is gone, and now SIniakova will be a quarterfinalist instead.

Bogdan entered Cleveland ranked 103rd on the WTA Tour and her run of seasons with a title is also on the line in 2024. Ana earned two title wins in 2022 and 2023 all at the ITF/Challenger level and is without hardware this season.

Bogdan is 10 – 7 on hard courts this year and if she isn’t careful this could be a season without a winning record on any surface. Ana is 4 – 8 on clay and went winless on the grass in two outings giving her a 15 – 18 record for the campaign.
