St Helens Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 3.25
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 2.70
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.08

St Helens became the first club to win the Super League three times running when they beat Catalans Dragons in the 2021 Grand Final. So there is a good reason why they have been installed as the favourites to win again this year.

There is no doubt that St Helens will be challenging for honours this year, but there could well be a stiffer challenge from the likes of Warrington, Wigan, Leeds and Super League XXVI Grand Final runners up Catalans Dragons.

Salary cap restrictions have meant that Lachlan Coote has left for Hull KR and that could even things up a little. Now the rest of the young players at St Helens will need to step up to win a fourth straight Grand Final.

Warrington Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 5.50
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 6.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.22

Warrington Wolves lost exactly the same amount of regular season games as eventual champions St Helens last season. So it was something of a surprise when they were then dumped out of the play offs by Hull KR without scoring a single point.

The bookmakers like the look of this team though, and the Warrington Super League winners odds reflect the thinking that they might be able to go further this year. Daryl Powell has taken over as head coach and there is a lot for the fans to be excited about after his time at Castleford.

George Williams is undoubtedly the main man to watch in what is an exciting squad with real depth. Having a full pre-season should make Williams even more dangerous for Warrington this year.

Catalans Dragons Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 7.00
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 5.50
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.20

Now one of two French clubs in Super League, Catalans Dragons will be aiming to go one better than last year’s achievements and become the first ever non-English side to win the Grand Final.

After winning their first League Leaders’ Shield, Catalans will be coming back stronger and showed last season that they can win on the road as well now. James Maloney may have left but there have been some very good additions to the squad, suggesting that the Catalans Dragon Super League winners odds offered show pretty good value.

Mitchell Pearce has come in to replace Maloney – and Dylan Napa and Tyrone May have also arrived to bolster the title challenge. With a partisan crowd behind them, Catalans Dragons could well repeat their regular season success in 2022 – and then it will be all down to how well they perform in the play offs.

Wigan Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 7.50
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 8.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.29

Wigan were the last team aside from St Helens to win the Super League title and began last season in blistering form, winning their first seven games of the campaign. But results fizzled out a little after that and the Warriors ended up losing a tense eliminator against Leeds without even troubling the scorers.

There is another new head coach at the club, in the form of Matt Peet – and he will have the backing of the fans after working his way up through the club. He needs to work out how to get the Warriors scoring though, if his side is to live up to those Wigan Super League winners odds.

Cade Cust has been brought in from Manly Sea Eagles to provide the points Wigan need to take them to the next level. He will need to live up to expectations for that to happen – and will need the rest of the squad to do their bit if the Warriors don’t fall away once again.

Leeds Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 9.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 11.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.30

Leeds Rhinos started the 2021 season in woeful form, winning just two of their first seven games. But a late season surge saw them finish fifth in the table, beat Wigan in the eliminator and then ultimately fall to eventual champions St Helens in the semi finals.

The Leeds Super League winner odds therefore look relatively attractive – if the form shown near the end of last season is replicated at the beginning of Super League XXVII. They will also need to steer clear of the injuries that blighted their championship hopes in 2021.

The arrival of Aidan Sezer is a huge boost – and if he can pair up nicely with Blake Austin, opponents will have their work cut out coming away from Headingley with any points.

Castleford Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 23.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 21.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 1.83

Daryl Powell was unable to steer Castleford Tigers into the play offs last season – for the second year running – and has departed for Warrington. His head coach role has been taken over by Lee Radford who will be hoping to turn the Jungle into an imposing place once again.

There are a number of interesting looking signings at Castleford for the new season but it will be new club captain Paul McShane that will be key to any success. He takes over from the now retired Michael Shenton and will hope that the form that won him the 2020 Man of Steel award is in evidence again in 2022.

The Castleford Super League winners odds will probably be enough to put many punters off backing the Tigers for glory. But if they can sneak into the play offs at the end of the regular season there is no doubt that there is enough talent to put up a good fight in the knock out games.

Hull FC Super League Winner Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 36.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 23.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 2.25

Hull FC only won eight Super League games last season and were disappointed to miss out on the play offs by quite a way in the end. After making it all the way to the semi final stage the year before there was much more expected from the Black and Whites.

That is why the arrival of half-back Luke Gale from Leeds Rhinos has excited the Hull FC fans. He has come straight in as the new skipper and will be looked to as the main thrust of any chance of proving those Hull FC Super League winners odds false.

Only Josh Drinkwater scored more tries than Hull FC’s Jake Connor last season though, so he will be the man to watch as they attempt to get back to a consistently winning form. There are some very strong sides in contention for the play offs this season though, so a poor start to the campaign could prove to be a disaster.

Huddersfield Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 29.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 34.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 2.50

Super League XXVI was a massive disappointment for Huddersfield Giants and that is certainly why the bookies have given the club little chance of Grand Final success in 2022. But there is some hope with some exciting new arrivals and some youngsters coming shining through.

Theo Fages has been instrumental in three years of winning at St Helens and should do exactly the same job here. With his strength in the halves, the Huddersfield Super League winners odds may well be revised a little as we go deeper into the season.

Another reason for hope at Huddersfield is the emergence of Will Pryce last season. He enjoyed an incredible debut campaign and his move to full-back just shows how much faith the club have in him. He was capped by the England Knights in the offseason and will be aiming to hit the ground running at the start of February.

Hull KR Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 36.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 41.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 2.63

After more than a few years of struggling in the Super League, Hull KR ended up just 80 minutes from a Grand Final appearance after overcoming Warrington in the eliminators. It was only Catalans Dragons that dashed dreams of glory and Tony Smith will be aiming for his team to repeat that surprise achievement again in 2022.

One major factor why the fans might think there is a chance – and that the Hull KR Super winners odds are off the mark – is the arrival of Great Britain star Lachlan Coote. He has arrived from champions St Helens as they look to rearrange their salary cap – and still has plenty of fight in him at the age of 31.

The Robins have landed a couple of other positive additions to the squad and will be able to see just how they gel in their first game of the season against Wigan. The performance in that fixture could tell us a lot about how Hull KR will get on this year.

Wakefield Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 81.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 101.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 10.0

We are really delving into the realms of unlikely champions now – but head coach Willie Poching will look to the five wins out of seven he oversaw after taking over from the sacked Chris Chester in August 2021 to boost confidence. With a whole raft of other departures from the club, the Wakefield Super League winner odds might actually turn out to be fairly attractive.

Trinity have made some new signings but it will be a slimmed down squad this year as they attempt to finish in the top six. The versatile Lee Gaskell has arrived from Huddersfield Giants and he will be backed up by a good crop of youngsters that could surprise a few this season.

It is still a little bit of a long shot to be overly confident of Wakefield winning the Grand Final this year but there is no reason why a new-look team can’t make a decent run for the play offs.

Salford Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 101.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 101.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 8.0

Equally unfancied for glory are Salford Reds, who have been going through quite an upheaval in the last few years, with many of their older players departing the club. Last season’s 11th-placed finish reflected that and the one positive of such a disappointing campaign is that there will be less expected of them in 2022.

Although the Salford Super League winners odds are justifiably long, the arrival of Brodie Croft from Brisbane could well turn into one of the signings of the year. He didn’t play up to expectations for the Broncos but should team up quite nicely with Marc Sneyd at Salford.

Toulouse Super League Winners Odds

  • Super League winner odds: 201.0
  • Super League Regular season winner odds: 151.0
  • Super League top 6 odds: 17.0

Toulouse have replaced Leigh in the Super League for the 2022 season and are judged the rank outsiders to be victorious in the Grand Final at the end of the campaign. But head coach Sylvian Houles will be eagerly anticipating the kick off in the second week of February.

There is an element of the unknown playing its part with the Toulouse Super League winners odds, but this is a team that will be very strong at home. It is the results in England that will determine whether Toulouse will perform to the standards of fellow French side Catalans sooner rather than later.
