1.  Błachowicz by KO/TKO, DQ or submission at 2.10 odds

At 41 years of age, Glover Teixeira has been fighting for almost two decades. His run with the UFC started in 2012, and this is his second attempt at the Light-heavyweight title. He is on a 5-fight winning streak, but this will likely be his last shot to become the champion. Teixeira is coming off a submission victory over Thiago Santos, but Blachowicz is a much more difficult opponent.

Błachowicz is the favourite in this one at 1.33 odds to win, whilst Teixeira is available at 3.40. Błachowicz is currently on a 5-fight winning streak, and coming off an impressive win over Israel Adesanya. He is the UFC Light-heavyweight champion and holds high-profile wins over fighters like Jarod Cannonier, Luke Rockhold, and Dominic Reyes. With a background in Muay Thai and BJJ, he is a very complete fighter with few weaknesses. His combination of sound grappling, deadly striking, and legendary Polish power make him a nightmare inside the octagon, and I expect him to get the job done in less than 5 rounds, most likely by KO/TKO.

2. Yan to win by Decision or Technical Decision at 2.60 odds

Cory Sandhagen is available at 2.87 odds to win this fight, whilst Petr Yan is the favourite at 1.44. Sandhagen is a solid striker, with an excellent reach and good height for the Bantamweight division, but I don’t think he can compete against Petr Yan at this point. He is coming off a split-decision loss to T.J. Dillashaw, but the most concerning loss in his resume is the submission to Aljamain Sterling – an opponent Yan easily dismantled. It doesn’t seem like he is ready to compete for the title just yet, and I don’t see him winning this one.

Petr Yan is the best Bantamweight fighter in the world looking to reclaim his title after a controversial loss to Aljamain Sterling due to an illegal knee. Despite dominating the fight in all aspects, Yan used an illegal knee on a grounded opponent 30 seconds before the end of the fight and lost the Bantamweight title. Yan is the better fighter in this one, but he sometimes needs some time to study his opponents before starting to put the pressure on them. Sandhagen is very durable and has never been knocked out in his career, and it’s unlikely Yan will get the knockout, but a unanimous decision victory is the most likely outcome.

3. Makhachev by decision at 2.05 odds

Islam Makachev is the heavy favourite to win the fight at just 1.16 odds, whilst Hooker is available at 5.50. Dan Hooker is a fighter with excellent striking and solid grappling skills, but he simply isn’t at the level to compete against Makhachev’s wrestling. Hooker has 2 submission defeats in his MMA career, but they came in the early stages of his career.

Makhachev has won 3 of his last 5 fights by submission, and will likely dominate this fight on the ground. Hooker is the better striker, but Makhachev will use his relentless grappling and stamina to repeatedly get his opponent to the ground for ground-and-pound and submission attempts. Though I don’t believe he can get a submission against hooker, his efforts will be enough to impress the judges, and Makhachev will likely earn his 9th decision victory.

4. Volkov by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission at 2.87 odds.

Alexander Volkov is the heavy favourite to win at 1.30 odds, whilst Marcin Tybura is valued at 3.50. This is one of the best bets on the card due to the excellent form of Volkov. Since adding more weight, his striking power has increased significantly, and he earned KO/TKO victories over Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris. He is coming off a decision loss against Ciryl Gane, but Gane is a once-in-a-lifetime talent and a title contender.

Whilst Tybura is usually a good pick as an underdog, Volkov’s style of fighting simply doesn’t suit him well. Tybura loves to pressure his opponents on the ground and against the cage, but Volkov is too good at keeping the distance and picking opponents apart with his striking. I expect Volkov to be dominant in all 3 rounds and get the decision victory.
