The Edmonton Oilers have skated out to a 2 – 1 series lead against the Calgary Flames, and there is only one word to describe how they’ve done it… Consistency! The #1 line for the Oilers basically took over the 2nd period of Game 3 scoring all 4 goals in a span of 12 minutes and the line setters seemed to forget about one little thing we found quite useful. Well, our resident NHL expert Ej Garr found it and it’s an action wager on a player prop full of value with odds of 2.60 toward an Evander Kane goal in game 4.

Did you see game 3 and the fashion that the first line of the Oilers took over the game to give the Oilers a 2 – 1 series lead over Le Flame? My goodness, good hockey is fun to watch although we had no idea what was coming because the first period was so quiet. No one scored in the opening frame but the Oilers wasted not even a full minute before they made it 1 – 0 in the second period.

Within 12 minutes of the first goal, the Oilers were up 4 – 0 just like that and even if you didn’t see the game you certainly see who did all of the damage. Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid, and Evander Kane were the key cogs that changed the entire complexion of game 3 and the line setters seemed to have forgotten about it. 

Draisaitl and McDavid each have an assist on the first goal off the stick of Zach Hyman and then Evander Kane proceeded to demand that the fans remove their hats and discard them on the ice! You know that means, baby, we have a playoff hat trick to discuss and there is just no way he could score tonight according to the oddsmakers. For me, a line of 2.60 usually means the line setters don’t expect it to happen or else they wouldn’t leave all of that value just sitting there.

The Flames are keying on stopping McDavid and all that is doing is giving him the ability to find open players and drop dimes all over the ice. Make no mistake!! Assists are worth the same amount of points as goals and we all know that but when the Flames are tipping their hand to keep McDavid off the scorers’ list he is providing gems for his line to finish the job. Evander Kane would love to follow up the hatty with some more production and I am simply hoping that we can cash a lovely ticket full of value if he can find the net just once tonight. 

We don’t need a hatty or a brace because the bet is that he just scores once at 2.60! Here, let’s say it again… 2.60! I know, that is just a line that makes anyone smile, especially where there is a realistic expectation that Kane will have to score again if McDavid will be keyed on again. 

McDavid to assist goals in this game is O1.5 so if they are expecting him to find two helpers who the hell do you think he’ll be helping? EVANDER KANE! Light the lamp and I will see you at the window!
