The Tampa Bay Lightning escaped with a win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against the NY Rangers, 3 – 2, and now we have a series that might just come down to the final game. Our resident U.S sports expert Ej Garr may indeed be a Rangers fan, but that won’t affect his desire to help us cash tickets full of value because he has done it again! Welcome to Value City with a tip on a goal-scorer who just has a knack for finding the net in big games when the lights are the brightest.

Tampa Bay vs NY Rangers Best Bet

June 8, 01:00 (UK time)

The post-season is a stage where the lights are so bright that they can either blind you or you step right into the moment and be smooth as silk. Steven Stamkos has a C on his jersey for a reason, and in an age where accurate snipers are dwindling, we have one wearing #91 for Tampa Bay that knows how to answer the call when the moment needs a response.

We all know I am a Rangers fan, and I want nothing more than to see the Blue Shirts head back home with a 3 – 1 series lead. However, I am not one to just tell everyone to bet on the Rangers because of my fanhood alone when we have tickets with value to find all over the board. I know you enjoyed the hell out of the Zibanejad to score prop at 3.25 in game 2 from MSG, and to be honest, I played him again in game 3 to score again and he wasted no time at all bagging the first goal of the game.

Tonight? Stamkos is going to once again be on the score sheet and both of his goals in the series have just been rippers from the top of the circle. The goal he scored to make it 2 – 2 in game 4 almost tore the net off the pipes as it broke the speed of sound. Not only that, but the eyes he gives pucks to find where momma hides the cookies akes stopping his slapper nearly impossible.

Even though my Rangers lost game 3, it was a great game regardless as we took a 2 – 0 lead and just watched the Tampa Bay offense go bonkers throwing shots at Igor Shesterikin. There were 52 shots for him to try and stop, in fact, and Igor did all he could to keep the puck out of his net until Andrej Palat broke a 2 – 2 deadlock with only 42 seconds left in regulation time essentially clinching the win for the Ning to get back in the series.

Zibanejad’s goal in the first period came on the power-play and all four goals that were scored by both teams until Palat scored were on the man-advantage. Mika’s goal was his 6th PP goal of the post-season and that is a NY Rangers team record in the playoffs. Also, when Chris Kreider scored to make it 2 – 0 Rangers, he tied Adam Graves’ 1994 accomplishment of earning 62 overall points in a campaign. (Both reg and post-season comb)

Teams that have taken a 2 – 0 Conference Finals lead have managed a 91 – 7 record toward reaching the Stanley Cup Finals. The Rangers may not have felt the pressure at home but now the actual need to rebound falls on New York to get a road win and return to MSG looking to close out the series. However, that task is so much easier said than done and my gut is telling me that Stamkos is going to rip off another top-cheddar snipe that burns rubber on the Rangers net.

The line at 2.48 for Stamkos to score is way too nice to ignore because he will get open, he will take his opportunities to shoot, and as I said, he is one of the most dangerous snipers in the entire NHL. We already know who I am rooting for to win the good ole hockey game, but I will see you for Game 5 back here in New York with another tip full of value.

  • Selection: Steven Stamkos to Score a Goal
  • Best odds: 2.48 (Pinnacle)
  • Stakes 4/10
