Today’s Daily Nap
Greanateen
Sandown 3pm
Freshness at this stage of the season can often count for plenty, and Paul Nicholls high class chaser comes here after 76 days off the track (following a poor run in Ireland on the worst of the ground up the inner). He has optimum conditions to bounce back to his very best form here on decent ground, and jumped superbly when winning the 2021 renewal of this race from Altior.
Odds: 2.63
Today’s Value Angle
Kittys Light

Odds: 5.50

Saturday ITV Racing Tips
Time | Track | Selection | Analysis |
---|---|---|---|
13:50 | SANDOWN | DIBBLE DECKER | Tom Lacey’s progressive performer has improved for the step up into handicap company, and will relish the decent ground conditons expected at Sandown on Saturday. |
14:02 | HAYDOCK | RHOSCOLYN | David O’Meara’s course and distance winner is well treated now on the pick of his form, and he should strip a lot fitter for a pipe-opener from the front on soft ground at Thirsk 14 days ago. |
14:25 | SANDOWN | ERNE RIVER | Nick Kent’s stable star had been progressing nicely over fences until falling at the tenth last time out at Aintree (having been very heavily backed), and can get back on track here with more improvement in the tank after just three runs over the larger obstacles. |
14:45 | LEICESTER | PATH OF THUNDER | Charlie Appleby’s strike rate continues above 50pc after a blistering start to the turf season, and this useful performer should be fit from a profitable few months over in Meydan. |
15:00 | SANDOWN | GREANATEEN | Freshness at this stage of the season can often count for plenty, and Paul Nicholls high class chaser comes here after 76 days off the track (following a poor run in Ireland on the worst of the ground up the inner). He has optimum conditions to bounce back to his very best form here on decent ground, and jumped superbly when winning the 2021 renewal of this race from Altior. |
15:32 | SANDOWN | KITTYS LIGHT | Christian Williams has enjoyed a real breakthrough season with some cracking staying chasers in particular, and this consistent sort seems sure to be well suited by a 3m5f test of stamina (jumping will be under less pressure over this trip and seems sure to go close with a clean round). |
