There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with three cracking NH meetings in the afternoon at Cheltenham, Doncaster and Bangor. AW fans can look forward to twilight meetings at Southwell and Dundalk, with the new surface at the former settling in well after their first fixture earlier in the week. The main card of the day comes from Cheltenham, with all the top yards represented, and the Grade 3 handicap chase over 3m2f at 2.25pm likely to be the big betting race of the day.

Nigel Twiston-Davies dual winning hurdler has yet to win in 7 runs so far over fences, but she has shaped really well on a couple of occasions and ran a blinder when third in a warm listed novice chase at Bangor 30 days ago. That form has been well franked since by the remote fifth Shiaparannie, and she should go really close here back into handicap company with conditions to suit (more rain the better as revels in testing ground).

This promising young chaser shaped really well when second on his chasing debut at this track in October, pressing hard when ducking out through the false rail up the run-in (likely to have given the smart Does he Know a proper race at the time). An early fall back here last time has hopefully not dented his confidence, and he should go really close here under Sam Twiston-Davies.
