Thursday’s Horse Racing Tips: Ayr, October 12th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – October 12th
There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with Ayr, The Curragh and Chelmsford (AW) providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. Jumping fans have interesting cards at Exeter, Tramore and Worcester to study, with the action getting underway at 1.40pm at Haldon for their first meeting of the season (and a huge crowd assured).

Christopher Kellett’s tough, battle-hardened 4-y-o handicapper has been running really well in defeat for most of the summer, and served notice his time was near over this course and distance last time out (very heavily backed 5/2f on eased ground and just denied by market rival Alpine Sierra close home). He has optimum conditions back at Ayr on Thursday, and the booking of the excellent Connor Beasley certainly increases confidence that he can turn silvers into gold.

Ramon di Loria
Ayr 3:55 (UK time)
Ewan Whillans frustrating handicapper has become expensive to follow in recent months (winless since last May at Carlisle), but he has shaped well on numerous occasions and has a chance to dominate these Class 4 rivals with Rowan Scott taking over in the saddle. He handles soft ground well so the recent wet weather is welcome, and an attacking ride against the rail could soon have the opposition on the back-foot.
Odds: NA
