Saturday's Horse Racing Tips: November 13th 2021
Today’s Racing Tips – November 13th
The November meeting at Cheltenham provides the highlight for the ITV cameras on Saturday, with a high quality and ultra competitive card likely. The ground is likely to ride a lot faster than usual for this meeting, with the sustained dry period of weather showing no signs of ending through the previous week. Irish raiders, who so often dominate proceedings at Prestbury Park, are likely to be thin on the ground as a result. Over at Lingfield, there are a couple of very valuable prizes covered on the all-weather polytrack surface.
Saturday ITV Racing Tips
Time | Track | Selection | Analysis |
---|---|---|---|
13:40 | CHELTENHAM | THIRD TIME LUCKI | Dan Skelton’s novice jumped superbly to make a winning chasing debut here last month, and looks a top class prospect to follow all the way to the Arkle at the Festival in March. He will relish the expected drying ground conditions, and is sure to have plenty of these out of their comfort zone under a positive ride from Harry Skelton. |
14:15 | CHELTENHAM | PROTEKTORAT | Dan Skelton’s 6-y-o rounded off a brilliant first season over fences when landing the Manifesto Chase in style at Aintree 219 days ago, and is sure to be fit and primed to make a winning start in handicaps at Cheltenham on Saturday. |
14:50 | CHELTENHAM | ONAGATHERINGSTORM | Fergal O’Brien has his team in blistering form as usual, with 5 winners in the last fortnight, and this progressive novice shaped a lot better than the bare result over this course and distance last time out (now goes handicapping from a potentially lenient mark) |
15:05 | LINGFIELD | BIMBLE | Henry Candy’s useful filly has been running well in defeat in warm company all summer on the turf, and she is completely unexposed on the all-weather after just one previous start (promising fourth on debut at Kempton back in December 2019). |
15:25 | CHELTENHAM | BENSON | Dr Richard Newland’s 6-y-o has won 3 of his 6 runs so far over hurdles, and is expected to make a winning seasonal debut from a mark that clearly underestimates his potential to improve as he becomes more settled. |
15:40 | LINGFIELD | FELIX | Marco Botti’s useful performer shaped better than the bare result last time out at Newbury in the valuable Steventon Stakes, and can take advantage of a slight drop down in class switching to the all-weather at Lingfield on Saturday. |
