Saturday's Horse Racing Tips: January 15th
Today’s Racing Tips – January 15th
There are 9 races on ITV on Saturday, with Warwick staging their big meeting of the season with a cracking card. There are three graded races on the card, with all the top stables represented, and the big betting race is likely to be the marathon Classic Chase over 3m5f at 3.00pm. Kempton also has some cracking handicaps on offer, and the recent rain easing the ground should mean that field sizes stand up better than previously this winter.
Saturday ITV Racing Tips
Time | Track | Selection | Analysis |
---|---|---|---|
13:18 | WARWICK | BRAVE SEASCA | Venetia Williams course and distance winner is thriving in recent starts, and can handle a jump up in class at Warwick on Saturday. |
13:32 | KEMPTON | CHAMPAGNE COURT | This progressive handicapper has been improving run to run this winter, and has optimum conditions now back over fences at Kempton on Saturday. |
13:50 | WARWICK | DOYEN BREED | Sandy Thomson has a terrific team of young horses in the yard this season, and his 7-y-o can improve past some slightly more exposed (and higher rated) rivals here now upped to Grade 2 company. |
14:05 | KEMPTON | ELDORADO ALLEN | Colin Tizzard’s classy chaser has a good strike rate over fences, and shaped better than the bare result when third behind First Flow at Huntingdon in the Peterborough Chase last time out. |
14:25 | WARWICK | VIVA LAVILLA | Dan Skelton’s 6-y-o was not seen to best effect under a negative ride behind Lossiemouth at Sandown in December, but remains with plenty of potential and should relish this step up in trip to 2m5f. |
14:40 | KEMPTON | GELINO BELLA | Paul Nicholls novice has been clashing with the Cheltenham bound Blazing Khal on his last two starts, and now starts off in handicaps from a potentially lenient looking opening mark. |
15:00 | WARWICK | ACHILLE | Venetia Williams course and distance winner is thriving in recent starts, and can handle a jump up in class at Warwick on Saturday. |
15:15 | KEMPTON | SMARTY WILD | This course and distance winner has been improving run to run this winter, and has optimum conditions to bounce back to his very best at Kempton on Saturday. |
15:35 | WARWICK | ALLAPHILLIPE | Fergal O’Brien’s progressive performer rounded off a profitable season last time around with a cracking fifth in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, and seems sure to be a force into handicaps from a fair looking mark. |
