After the group stages, bettingexpert.com has collected the updated number of Instagram followers of all the world cup players to find out who has gained the most followers during the World Cup thus far.
The followers were first collected before the World Cup began, and updated today.
According to the results of the analysis, Cho Gue-sung, South Korean striker, has gained the most followers, percentage-wise, growing his fanbase by staggering 7580% (+ 2.312 million), thus increasing his earnings potential to 23 425 dollars per post.
