Wolves vs Coventry Prediction 1: Wembley-Wolves
England, FA Cup, Saturday, March 16th, 12:15 (UK)
A 2-1 victory over Fulham on the weekend made it four wins out of five for Wolves, with Gary O’Neill continuing to defy expectations as he has his side ninth in the Premier League and one win away from Wembley.
A run of three straight wins in all competitions was halted as they came unstuck away at a Newcastle side, who excel at home. This was swiftly put behind them as they swept past a strong Fulham side 2-1.
Wolves have only lost four of their 14 home games this season, with three of these coming against teams above them in the league (Brighton, Liverpool and Manchester United).
Coventry on the other hand are eight in the league below. Mark Robins side will fancy their chances of sneaking into the playoffs as they sit just one point from sixth.
Away from home, they have accumulated 25 points from 16 away games. With the step up in quality, I can see Wolves progressing to the Semi-Finals to play at Wembley.

Wolves vs Coventry Prediction 2: Wright Man Wright Place
Haji Wright arrived at the Ricoh Arena with high expectations after clinical spells in Denmark and Turkey, as well as becoming Coventry’s record signing.
However, the American flattered to deceive early on, scoring just once in his first ten matches. However, since then, Wright has grown adapted to life in the Midlands and now boasts 13 goals in 23 starts – ranking him as the sixth top scorer in the league.
It has been his willingness to shoot that has impressed many, too, with the 25-year-old averaging 3.63 shots and 1.18 shots on target per game. In his last 11 appearances, Wright has hit at least two shots in each one.
Wolves conceded 23 shots in their last home match. If Coventry gets anywhere near this number, Wright should rack up shots.
- Wolves vs Coventry Prediction 2: Haji Wright Over 1.5 shots
- Best Odds: 1.83
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 10/10
Wolves vs Coventry Prediction 3: End-To-End Molineux
In the Premier League, Wolves are averaging 5.21 corners per home game. Gary O’Neill’s side have hit at least four corners in 11/14 of their home games, conceding at least four in 11/14 as well, including their last five. They’ve conceded an average of 5.07 corners per home game.
Coventry ranks only behind Southampton in corners away from home, averaging a mammoth 6.47 per away game. 15/19 of their league away games this season have seen them have at least three corners. When looking at corners conceded, the Sky Blues have conceded at least four corners in 14/19, for an average of 5.16 given away per away game.
In a match that is expected to be end-to-end with both teams going for it, don’t be surprised to see corners mount up.
- Wolves vs Coventry Prediction 3: Each Team 4+ Corners
- Best Odds: 1.80
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 8/10

Wolves vs Coventry Team News and Possible Lineups: Attacking Absentees for Wolves
Wolves were without the 19 goals of South Korean striker Hee-Chan-Hwang and Brazilian Matheus Cunha against Fulham due to injury and lost tricky Pedro Neto due to minor niggles at half time. Coventry will feel quite lucky with their lack of injuries, with the SkyBlues expected to only be missing midfielder Jamie Allen and wing back Tatsuhiro Sakamoto.
