Sunday Football Accumulator: November 21st

We’re back after the international break for our Sunday multi-league acca. this week we’ve got picks from the Premier League and Championship as well as a couple each from La Liga and the Bundesliga.

Selection 1: Derby County vs Bournemouth – Derby +0.5 (AH)

The only match in England’s second-tier this Sunday sees the bottom side host the top. Bournemouth travel north to take on Derby County just days after the Rams’ latest points deduction. 43 points separate them in the table but that has more to do with rule-breaking than performances. Derby have only lost five matches in the Championship this season. Only four sides have lost fewer games than them. Their defeat to Blackburn last time out was the only league match they’ve lost at Pride Park this campaign. I’m backing them not to lose against the league leaders.

Selection 2: Manchester City vs Everton – Everton +2 (AH)

This is a case of battening down the hatches and hoping. Manchester City are the massive favourites to win this match comfortably but I see value with the visitors. The bookies gave Everton two and a quarter goals in the Asian lines at the start of the week. That has dropped down to two which I think represents value. Everton lead the way in big chance conversion and are coming off the back of a couple of disappointing results. The stage is set for an upset. Possibly.

Selection 3: SC Freiburg vs Frankfurt – Freiburg to Win

Freiburg look good value to get the three points against Frankfurt this weekend. Christian Streich’s men have been in excellent form all season. They’ve only lost one competitive match all campaign and that was against leaders Bayern Munich by two goals to one. Frankfurt aren’t the best travellers in Germany. They’ve won only two of their last nine Bundesliga away matches. They’ve won only one of their last nine away matches against Freiburg in the league.

Selection 4: Granada vs Real Madrid – Granada +1.25 (AH)

It’s usually difficult for Real Madrid when they travel to the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes to take on Granada. Los Blancos have been there eight times in the last decade. They won only three of those matches by two or more goals including one such win last May. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are grinding results out but it looks as if the goals are drying up. They’ve won four of their last five matches by a single goal and the other one finished 0-0. Granada look good value with plus 1.25 goals.

Selection 5: Tottenham vs Leeds – Tottenham to Win

It was a disappointing return to the Premier League for Tottenham boss Antonio Conte. Spurs drew 0-0 against Everton and failed to register a shot on target for the second successive match. I don’t think that will continue here. I’m backing Tottenham to win this match against a Leeds side that hasn’t score more than once in any of their Premier League matches this season. Whether or not his goalscoring exploits for England can reignite Harry Kane’s season, Spurs should have enough to get the three points.
