Rangers seek to build on BVB win
Rangers had been winless in three away matches – excluding their Scottish Cup win over League 2 part-timers Annan – prior to going to Borussia Dortmund on Thursday and picking up an incredible 4-2 victory. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were devastating in Germany and must now seek to transfer that form back to the domestic game, having handed the initiative to Celtic in recent weeks.
Wins over Hearts and Hibs at home have stabilised their challenge but now they face a Dundee United side that has only lost one in five – that a late 1-0 defeat away to Celtic.
A notable trend from both of these teams has been being involved in matches in which both teams have failed to score. Dundee United’s last six games have produced only one in which both teams have found the net, while this has occurred only twice in Rangers’ last 11 Premiership outings.
- Selection: No on Both Teams to Score?
- Odds: 1.75 (BetVictor)
- Stakes: 8/10

Celtic vs Dundee Best Bet
Celtic to bounce back impressively
Celtic were the victims of a chastening 3-1 loss in the Conference League on Thursday against Bodo/Glimt and have a point to prove when they host Dundee on Sunday.
It would be a huge shock if the Bhoys had any problem dispatching the relegation-threatened visitors. They have won 10 of their 12 home fixtures this season as well as all seven of their Premiership matches after Christmas, conceding just a couple of goals in the process.
Dundee surprisingly sacked manager James McPake in midweek after one defeat in six. Even more surprisingly, they replaced him with Mark McGhee, who has a six-game touchline ban to serve. It may be April before he is in the dugout. The ‘new-manager bounce’, therefore, is not expected at Dens Park.
Previous meetings between these sides have not gone favourably for Dundee this season. They were defeated 6-0 in Glasgow back in August, and though they ran Celtic a little closer in the City of Discovery, they were still overcome 4-2.
With the home side hungry to prove a point after their midweek embarrassment, the odds are stacked in the favour of a comfortable victory for the league leaders.
- Selection: Asian Handicap: Celtic -2 (AH)
- Odds: 1.65 (Bet365)
- Stakes: 9/10
