PSG vs Nice Prediction 1: Clean sheet potential for both teams is overrated
France, Coupe de France, Wednesday 13th March, 20:10 (GMT)
This is the French Cup, so anything can happen. The competition has a long history of shocks and this fixture in Paris has an air of potential cup exit. Nice will not be afraid of PSG after having come here earlier this season and collecting all three points. They are the only French team to have beaten PSG this entire season, but they legitimately deserved their 3-2 victory back in September. Nice has a reputation for tight and low-scoring matches, which is probably why BTTS – Yes can be backed at such a big price.
PSG have only kept three clean sheets in their last ten games. One of those was a freak 0-0 draw vs Monaco, where they were indebted to goalkeeper Donnarrumma to shut out their opponents. Teams are no longer afraid of PSG domestically and are much more willing to have a proper go. There is a realisation that to get a result against PSG; you are probably going to have to win a shootout of some kind. Nice’s defence has been less reliable since the winter break. Clean sheets have been in short supply, and in their most recent away game, Toulouse dismantled Les Aiglons in the second half. Taking BTTS – Yes should realistically mean we just need a goal from Nice, but they proved in the previous meeting that they will carry an offensive threat on the break.

PSG vs Nice Prediction 2: Moffi to strike again in Paris
One man who enjoyed a brilliant game in the reverse fixture was Nice striker Terem Moffi. Les Aiglons’ top scorer bagged a brace of goals that day and will be out to repeat that success here.
Moffi has not hit the heights of last season in this more defensive Nice setup under manager Francesco Farioli. His African Nations involvement with Nigeria means he’s only played in 20 Ligue 1 games and netted seven times. He has reached double-digit goals across all competitions though.
OGC Nice’s marksman is a huge price 4.75 to score anytime here, which is mighty tempting. I would not want to put anyone off that bet because if Nice do score, then he’s the most likely to net. The better percentage and safer option is to take the Nigerian just to have over 0.5 shots on target, though. We can still get very juicy odds of 2.0 that he manages to test the PSG keeper.
Moffi has fired 31 shots this season in Ligue 1 and hit the target with 18 of those. That is an impressive accuracy ratio of well over 50%. With an average SOT rate of 1.30 per 90 minutes, we are definitely getting some value at these odds. He has a proven record vs PSG and will not be afraid of them.
- PSG vs Nice Prediction 2: Terem Moffi Over 0.5 Shots on Target (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.00

- Stake: 8/10
PSG vs Nice Prediction 3: Nice to stay close to PSG by covering the handicap
PSG have only won seven of their last 17 games by more than a one-goal margin. Two of those were in the French Cup vs Reven and Orleans, with another success on the European stage vs Real Sociedad. The simple fact remains that PSG has struggled to put teams to the sword in recent months.
They have been happy and content to get the job done, move on and get down to business in the next fixture. I don’t expect them to claim a blowout success in this Cup game, and the Nice +1.25 Asian Handicap immediately stands out as a possibility.
At the time of writing, Nice have only lost two matches all season by more than a one-goal margin. One of those was to Le Havre and the other to Rennes. They have felt more vulnerable recently but this cup clash in Paris should get their juices flowing and bring out the best version of themselves. For Nice, their whole season might be on the line here. They are still in contention for European places, but the chance of silverware will be mighty tempting.
I think they will give it absolutely everything at the Parc des Princes, and taking them on this handicap means we will still win some cash, even if they lose by exactly one goal. Les Aiglons deserve more respect than this, considering the season they’ve had and how they performed in the league fixture at this venue.
- PSG vs Nice Prediction 3: Nice +1.25 Asian Handicap (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.85
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 8/10
