I have Premier League best bets on a host of matches this Saturday. It’s a welcome return for domestic football fans after a lengthy international break.

We’re at the tail end of the season with things still to be decided at the top and bottom of the table. This matchday will have a big say on how things finish at the end of May.

Premier League Best Bets: Saturday April 2nd

  • Liverpool vs Watford Best Bet – Under 3.5 Goals at 2.00
  • Brighton vs Norwich Best Bet – No on BTTS at 1.61
  • Chelsea vs Brentford Best Bet – Over 2.5 Goals at 1.90
  • Leeds vs Southampton Best Bet – Leeds to Win at 2.37
  • Wolves vs Aston Villa Best Bet – Wolves +0 (AH) at 2.10
  • Manchester United vs Leicester Best Bet – Leicester +1 (AH) at 2.04

Premier League Acca Odds: 62.75

Liverpool vs Watford Best Bet

Liverpool welcome Watford to Anfield as the Reds aim to continue their title push. Jurgen Klopp’s men are the massive favourites so there’s little use in backing them on either the 1X2 or the Asian handicap market. The visitors look good value with the +2.5 handicap goal line. Watford are good travellers and have only lost two of their last seven Premier League away games.

I’m instead looking at the goal line for this one. The bookies have it at 3.5 which I think is more than generous. The goals have dried up for Liverpool in recent weeks. They’ve had under 2.5 in each of their last three Premier League games before the international break. Star men Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota have all played big matches in midweek. I suspect both teams will need some time to warm up to the early kick-off after an international break.

  • Selection: Under 3.5 Goals
  • Odds: 1.96 (10Bet)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Brighton vs Norwich Best Bet

Brighton welcome Norwich to the south coast for a massive fixture in the relegation battle. The Seagulls are well clear of the drop but the visitors will see this as a winnable fixture. Both teams have lost six consecutive matches in the Premier League leading up to this one. Brighton have scored once in that time while the Canaries have found the net four times.

So, it may not be one for the neutrals. The goal line is generously placed at 2.50 – 2.25 or even 2.00 would surely be more fitting. That’s a tempting option but I’m looking at BTTS. Both teams have scored in only 33% of Brighton’s home matches so No on BTTS looks good value.

  • Selection: No on BTTS
  • Odds: 1.67 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Chelsea vs Brentford Best Bet

Chelsea welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge as they aim to continue their fine record against the Bees. They are unbeaten in eight meetings with Brentford who last beat the Blues in 1939.

I’m looking at the goal line here. 2.5 seems low for a mismatch like this. Yes, Chelsea have struggled to find the net at times, especially at home. They haven’t scored more than twice in a Premier League home match since November.

Their opponents, on the other hand, have been seeing goals in their away games. Brentford have had over 2.5 goals in five of their last six Premier League away matches. Over 2.5 seems like the best course of action here.

  • Selection: Over 2.5 Goals
  • Odds: 1.90 (10Bet)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Leeds vs Southampton Best Bet

I’m backing Leeds to continue their winning streak as they host Southampton in the Premier League. Jesse Marsch has made a strong impression in a short space of time at Elland Road. The underlying data is very much with his side. Leeds have averaged 2.07 xG per match since his appointment – more than any other Premier League side in that time.

So it’s a surprise to see that they are at such high odds in the 1X2 market for this match. They host a Southampton side that has lost three consecutive Premier League games. The Saints have conceded an average of 2.5 goals per match in their last nine away Premier League fixtures. That’s why I’m backing Leeds to get the win here. They look good value in the 1X2.

  • Selection: Leeds to Win
  • Odds: 2.45 (Betfair)
  • Stakes: 5/10

Wolves vs Aston Villa Best Bet

I’ll also be backing Wolves to get a result in their match. Bruno Lage’s men ended things poorly before the international break. It was four defeats in six for them in the Premier League.

They’ve got a good record against their opponents. Wolves have won three of their last five Premier League matches against them. Villa tend to lose against the same sides twice. Four teams have already done the domestic double over Aston Villa this season. That accounts for over half of their defeats.

Villa ended things with two consecutive defeats before the international break. They haven’t lost three on the bounce since Steven Gerrard took over in November last year. They’re the favourites for this match but it feels generous.

Only the current top 4 have conceded more goals at home than Wolves have this season. They’re at 2.11 with a +0 at home against a side that has lost two in a row and is 10 points worse off. It’s a no-brainer.

  • Selection: Wolves +0 (AH)
  • Odds: 2.10 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 9/10

Manchester United vs Leicester Best Bet

I’m backing the visitors to get a result here. Leicester look good value on the Asian line with a +1 against United. The Foxes won this exact fixture 2-1 last season, one of only three away league victories they have notched up against United in the last 36 meetings.

United have won only three of their last seven matches at home in the Premier League. Only one of those was by more than one goal so the +1 would have been good enough in all of them. They didn’t play a single side above them in the table during that time.

Leicester’s away form is a concern but we could see the tentative return of Jamie Vardy up front for them. They look good value to get something here.

  • Selection: Leicester +1 (AH)
  • Odds: 2.04 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 7/10

WHAT IS A PREMIER LEAGUE ACCA?

A  Premier League acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A Premier League acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Premier League accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the Premier League acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
