Arsenal host Manchester United as they aim to continue their fine run against the Red Devils. United won the reverse fixture 3-2 back in December but Arsenal have had the better of it in recent years. The Gunners have won three and drawn two of their last six meetings in the Premier League.
Arsenal have taken seven points in their last three home matches against United, keeping a clean sheet in all three. They’ve never kept clean sheets in four consecutive home league matches against Manchester United.
Recent results suggests that they may break that record. United have only scored once in their last three away league fixtures. They do enjoy a trip to London. Manchester United are currently on a 13-match unbeaten streak in the capital. That’s the longest run a club from outside the capital has been on in the Premier League.
I’m looking at the goals market here. Only one of Arsenal’s last 10 home Premier League matches have had under 1.5 goals. United have had over 2.5 in five of their last seven on the road. I expect goals and both teams to get on the scoresheet here.

I like Leicester in this match. They host Aston Villa in what has always been a difficult match to call. It’s cut down the middle in terms of results. In the last 24 years, Leicester and Villa have won seven each and drawn the other seven Premier League fixtures.
I’m looking at the hosts as the value selection here. Leicester are the slight outsiders to win this match at 2.75 with Villa the favourites at 2.62. Leicester come into this one on the better run of form. They’ve only lost two of their last eight Premier League matches. They’ve won their last three at home.
Villa, meanwhile have lost their last four. They’re due a few wins but I think they’ll start picking up points after this one. Villa play Norwich and Burnley after this one. Leicester draw no bet is my pick.

History suggests they’ll do well. City haven’t lost a league match at home against Watford since April 1987. It’s been a particularly one-sided match in recent years. City have won all of their last five by at least two goals. The combined scoreline in the last five meetings has been Manchester City 24-2 Watford.
It was a similar story in midweek as City hosted Brighton. The bookies gave the visitors a two-goal advantage in the Asian handicap which I backed. It’s at 2.5 this time but I don’t want it. Instead, I’m backing another big City win and taking them -2.5 goals.

Norwich vs Newcastle Best Bet

Norwich host Newcastle in what is a must-win match for the hosts. If Norwich are to stay in the Premier League, this is surely their best chance. They don’t play another side in the bottom half after this and next week’s fixture with Aston Villa.
That’s why I’m backing them to get something here. Newcastle are safe on 40 points in 11th and the pressure is definitely off them. The Canaries need the points and I think they’ll get at least one.
Norwich are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches against the Magpies. All of their Premier League wins against Newcastle have come at home. Newcastle have lost their last three on the road, scoring only once. I expect that poor run of form to continue.

Brentford vs Tottenham Best Bet

It’s a fixture we’ve rarely seen but recent results have been consistent between Brentford and Tottenham. Spurs have won each of their last three fixtures 2-0 including the reverse match in North London. Brentford are hosting Tottenham in a league match for the first time since 1949.
Brentford have done well in the capital this season. They’ve earned 14 points from their London derby matches this campaign. Only Chelsea have won more. No newly-promoted London side has ever earned more points than Brentford have from London derbies.
But I expect that run to end here. I’m backing Spurs to get the three points after that disappointing defeat last week. Brentford are due a loss after their recent resurgence in form. I’m backing Spurs to win in the 1X2.
