England’s top-flight continues and we’ve got Premier League best bets for all eight matches this weekend. The Premier League is back for a slightly reduced catalogue of fixtures. The Carabao Cup final takes place on Sunday so a few matches have been postponed. We’ve still got some intriguing clashes and I’ve got Premier League best bets for the following games in this article:

Premier League Best Bets February 26th-27th

  • Southampton vs Norwich – Norwich +1 (AH)
  • Leeds vs Tottenham – Over 3 Goals
  • Brentford vs Newcastle – Brentford +0 (AH)
  • Crystal Palace vs Burnley  – Burnley +0.5 (AH)
  • Brighton vs Aston Villa  – No on BTTS
  • Manchester United vs Watford – Watford +1.5 (AH)
  • Everton vs Manchester City  – Everton +1.75 (AH)
  • West Ham vs Wolves – Wolves +0.5 (AH)

Odds below are best odds available as at 13:30 on 25th February 2022. Odds may now differ.

Southampton vs Norwich Best Bet

Friday, 25th Feb, 20:00 (UK Time)

Southampton take on Norwich at St. Mary’s with both sides performing relatively well. The Saints are on a good run with only one defeat in their last nine. They’ve played Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United in their last four matches. They didn’t lose any of them. Defeats to Liverpool and City put an end to Norwich’s run of two defeats in three.

Southampton have a fine record against the Canaries. They’ve lost only one of their last eight Premier League home matches against them. They’ve lost only once at home in the league all season. Saints haven’t lost any of their last nine home Premier League games, their longest such run since 2005.

But I’m backing the Canaries here. All runs must end and Norwich had the better of Southampton in their previous match. The bookmakers have given the visitors plus a goal on the Asian line. I think that’s generous and I’m falling down on the side of the visitors.

  • Selection: Norwich +1 (AH)
  • Odds: 2.01 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Leeds vs Tottenham Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 12:30 (UK Time)

There are some similarities between these sides in recent weeks. Leeds and Tottenham both come into this one on dire runs of form. They’ve lost eight of their last 10 Premier League matches combined. But both have pulled off some rather impressive results in that time. Spurs beat Manchester City last week and Leeds fought back from 3-1 down to get a point away at Aston Villa.

The bookies have Tottenham as favourites and Leeds are struggling at home right now. They’ve lost three of their last four league games at Elland Road, more than they lost in the 14 games before then. That said, Leeds have only lost two of their last 13 Premier League home matches against Spurs.

There is value Leeds here given the history but I can see Tottenham winning the game. One thing we should see is a high-scoring game. Leeds have averaged 5.25 total match goals in their last four Premier League games. Tottenham have an average of 3.25 in their last four. I’m backing over on the goal line here.

  • Selection: Over 2.75 Goals
  • Odds: 1.85 (MansionBet)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Brentford vs Newcastle Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 15:00 (UK Time)

I expect a turnaround in form for both teams here. Brentford are bottom of the form table with one point from seven Premier League matches. Newcastle are towards the top with three wins in four. The two sides now meet at the Brentford Community Stadium and I’m backing the hosts to turn things around.

The bookies tend to agree. Brentford are the slight favourites to win the match with the Asian line at Brentford -0.25. That’s the route I’m taking with this match despite recent results. The Bees are due a win and their recent results are more down to the fixtures than anything else They’ve played Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Wolves in their last six. I expect their form to improve in the coming weeks starting with this match.

  • Selection: Brentford -0.25 (AH)
  • Odds: 2.14 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 6/10

Crystal Palace vs Burnley Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 15:00 (UK Time)

It’s a fascinating match at the bottom of the table as Crystal Palace take on Burnley. The Eagles have found some form despite struggling for goals before that match against Watford in midweek. But Burnley are the form team in this matchup with two consecutive Premier League wins for the first time since January 2021.

The hosts are the big favourites at just under 2.00 with most bookmakers. That gives value to the Clarets who have a better chance in this match than those odds suggest. They’ve won five of their last 10 Premier League matches in London. They’ve also won two of their last three visits to Selhurst Park. I’m backing them plus a small handicap here.

  • Selection: Burnley +0.5 (AH)
  • Odds: 1.94 (BetVictor)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Brighton vs Aston Villa Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 15:00 (UK Time)

It’s two sides coming off back-to-back defeats. Brighton have lost their last two to Manchester United and Burnley. Villa went down to relegation battlers Newcastle and Watford. Steven Gerrard’s side didn’t score in either of them. It’s the first time since March 2021 that Villa have gone two consecutive Premier League matches without scoring.

They’ll hope to turn things around. Villa won the reverse fixture in what was Gerrard’s first match in charge of the club. They haven’t completed the domestic double over Brighton for 40 years.

The betting markets are interesting in this match. The bookies have Brighton -0.25 in the Asian line so they expect a Seagulls win. The goal line is the interesting part. The goal line is 2.25 so they’re expecting a low-scoring match but Yes on Both Teams to Score is also shorter odds than No. There’s value in this paradox.

  • Selection: No on Both Teams to Score
  • Odds: 2.05 (BetVictor)
  • Stakes: 6/10

Manchester United vs Watford Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 15:00 (UK Time)

Manchester United take on Watford at Old Trafford as they aim to continue their push for the top 4. Ralph Rangnick’s side haven’t lost a Premier League match since the start of January after recent wins over Brighton and Leeds. Things get tougher for them in the coming weeks. They’ll face Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool in their three matches after this one.

Watford beat Aston Villa last weekend. It was their first Premier League victory since the 4-1 win over Manchester United back in November. Claudio Ranieri led the Hornets in that match. If Hodgson’s Watford win here they will become the first side to win both league matches against Manchester United with different managers for each fixture since Bolton Wanderers in the 1950/21 season. Hodgson himself has won his last two away games against Manchester United.

I’m expecting the visitors to get something here. Manchester United are outperforming and that will soon come to an end. It may happen from next week onwards but the bookies have given Watford 1.5 goals in the Asian line here and I think that’s too good to refuse.

  • Selection: Watford +1.5 (AH)
  • Odds: 1.93 (Betway)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Everton vs Manchester City Best Bet

Saturday, 26th Feb, 17:30 (UK Time)

Everton haven’t quite turned the corner since the appointment of Frank Lampard. Things have improved but only barely. The Toffees have still lost five of their last six Premier League matches. The improvement is in all competitions and only at home. At Goodison, they’ve won three of their last four in all competitions.

Manchester City have gone through a blip by their extraordinary standards. They’ve dropped points in two of their last four with the most recent being that 3-2 defeat to Tottenham last weekend. Pep Guardiola’s men will be glad to get back to Goodison Park where they’ve won each of their last four away league games.

But I’m going down a different route here. I’m backing the Toffees – with the help of the generous 1.75 goals on the Asian line. City play in the FA Cup in midweek before a Manchester Derby next weekend. This game may fall by the wayside and after the defeat last weekend, Pep Guardiola would surely take a one-goal victory. I expect some improvement from Everton and they have a decent record at home in the league this season.

  • Selection: Everton +1.75 (AH)
  • Odds: 1.90 (BetVictor)
  • Stakes: 8/10

West Ham vs Wolves Best Bet

Sunday, 27th Feb, 14:00 (UK Time)

The final Premier League match of the weekend sees West Ham take on Wolves. The Hammers are going through another bad stretch of form with only one win in their last five Premier League matches. They’ve got issues at both ends of the pitch with four goals in four and only two clean sheets in the league since mid-December.

Wolves are amongst the form teams in the Premier League right now. Bruno Lage’s men have only lost two of their last nine Premier League matches and both of them came against Arsenal. They beat the Hammers in the reverse fixture back in November but lost this exact fixture 4-0 last season. They haven’t lost consecutive away league games against West Ham since 2004. I’m backing them to get back to winning ways here.

  • Selection: Wolves +0.5 (AH)
  • Odds: 1.83 (BetVictor)
  • Stakes: 8/10
