West Ham vs Newcastle Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 12:30 (UK Time)
When looking at this fixture earlier in the season, few would have predicted that Newcastle would be the form team coming into it. The Hammers had a late equaliser to scrape a point against Leicester last time out. It’s one win in four for David Moyes’ team.
The Magpies have won three consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since 2018. Manchester City are the only other side not to have lost any of their last six matches.
Newcastle have won their last two away games against West Ham. They’ve never won three in a row against the Hammers and I don’t think it will happen here. The injury to Kieran Trippier will hurt Eddie Howe’s side. I’m backing Newcastle’s away form to return to normal. They lost three in a row on the road before the 1-0 victory over Leeds a few weeks ago. I’m backing the Hammers to get back to winning ways.
- Selection: West Ham to Win
- Best Odds: 1.73 (Betfred)
- Stakes: 8/10

Arsenal vs Brentford Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
Arsenal welcome Brentford to the Emirates Stadium with the race for the top 4 heating up. The Gunners are four points behind current occupiers Manchester United have three games in hand over the Red Devils.
Arsenal have won five of their last seven Premier League games. The 1-0 victory over Wolves last week was their first in three after a difficult two-match spell. The issue for Mikel Arteta’s men has been goals. They’ve only scored once in their last five matches in all competitions.
Brentford are on a dire run of form. They’ve not won any of their last six league matches. They last went on a longer winless run 2018. The Bees are also on their longest losing run away from home in over a decade.
The Gunners win was tempting but I’m going down the goals route here. Arsenal have been struggling for goals but they’ve been doing a good job of keeping them out too. They’ve kept five clean sheets in their last six Premier League home matches. Brentford have only scored in one of their last four away league games. I’m expecting the visitors to fail to score again here but I’m not confident enough to back a Gunners win to nil.
- Selection: No on Both Teams to Score
- Best Odds: 1.73 (Betfred)
- Stakes: 8/10

Aston Villa vs Watford Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
It’s been a mixed start for Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa tenure. They’ve taken 17 points from the first 14 league matches under Gerrard. They took 16 from the final 14 matches under Dean Smith and that includes that five-game losing streak.
They’re conceding too many goals again. They’ve let in 18 goals in their last eight home Premier League matches. That’s more than they conceded in the 17 games at Villa Park before then. Both teams have scored in seven of Villa’s last eight home games but that’s not the bet I’m going for.
I’m counting on Watford’s dire run of form continuing. Roy Hodgson’s appointment has led to a slight defensive improvement but it’s done little to earn more points. Watford have lost 10 of their last 12 Premier League matches. They drew the other two. They haven’t won since that incredible 4-1 victory over Manchester United in November that cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job.
- Selection: Aston Villa to Win
- Best Odds: 1.62 (Betfair)
- Stakes: 7/10

Brighton vs Burnley Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
It’s perhaps not the most glamorous match of the weekend but there is value to be had. Brighton host Burnley on the South Coast hoping to do their first domestic double over the Clarets since the 2012/13 season in the Championship. The Seagulls won 2-1 on the opening match of the season.
One thing these sides have in common is that they draw a lot of their matches. No side has shared the points in more Premier League matches this season than Brighton. The Clarets have drawn more than half of their league games, the only side in the division to do so.
These sides often share the points. Eight of the last 12 league matches between Brighton and Burnley have finished all square. 3.80 for a draw here looks excellent value.
- Selection: Draw
- Best Odds: 3.80 (Skybet)
- Stakes: 5/10
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
Crystal Palace welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park for a London Derby. It’s a match between two sides in poor form. Palace haven’t won any of their last five Premier League matches while the Blues have won only one of their last five league games. Chelsea did, however, win the Club World Cup last week.
They’re back on Premier League duty ahead of a Champions League fixture in midweek. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Thomas Tuchel’s attention turned towards the various club competitions Chelsea are still involved in given their league position.
That opens the door for Palace here. 40% of their victories this season have come against sides that started the match in the top 4. Palace are also a much stronger team at home than they are on the road. They take an average of 0.67 more points per home game than they do in away matches. That’s the second-biggest difference of any side in the league. I’m backing the hosts with a handicap.
- Selection: Crystal Palace +0.75 (AH)
- Best Odds: 2.03 (BetVictor)
- Stakes: bet365

Liverpool vs Norwich Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
Liverpool take on Norwich in what is one of the most one-sided fixtures in the Premier League. The Reds have won 13 of their last 15 league games against the Canaries, drawing the other two. They’ve scored an average of 2.8 goals per Premier League game against them. That’s the highest average they’ve scored against any club in the competition.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in exceptional form. They’ve won their last six home matches in the league by an aggregate score of 17-1. The attacking output didn’t drop even after the departure of star players Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Norwich have improved of late. They’ve only lost one of their last four under new manager Dean Smith. They beat Watford 3-0 last time out. It was their biggest away win in the top-flight since they beat Everton 5-1 back in 1993.
They’ll have less hope for this one considering they’ve already lost twice to the Reds this season – both games finished 3-0 to the Reds. No Premier League side has secured three wins against the same team by three or more goals in the same season since Arsenal vs Aston Villa in 2014-15. I’m backing another big win for the Reds here.
- Selection: Liverpool -2.5 (AH)
- Best Odds: 2.01 (BetVictor)
- Stakes: 9/10

Southampton vs Everton Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 15:00 (UK Time)
Southampton take on Everton at St. Mary’s and I’m expecting a bit of a shock result. The Saints are one of the form sides in the Premier League with only one defeat in their last eight matches. They’ve taken five points from their last three fixtures against Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United.
They face an Everton side that racked up its first Premier League win for seven matches at the weekend. The Toffees haven’t won an away league match since a 2-0 victory over Brighton in August. They haven’t been short of goals. Everton have scored in six of their last eight away games but only took two points from them.
They have a good record against the Saints. Everton have won their last two Premier League matches against Southampton. They haven’t won three in a row against them for over 30 years. The Toffees have improved and are due a good result on the road. I can see Southampton’s form dipping in the coming weeks so I’m backing the visitors here plus a handicap.
- Selection: Everton +0.25 (AH)
- Best Odds: 2.09 (bet365)
- Stakes: 7/10

Manchester City vs Tottenham Best Bet
Sat, Feb 19th, 17:30 (UK Time)
The champions welcome Tottenham to the Etihad on Saturday evening looking to continue their exceptional run of form. City have taken 43 points from a possible 45 since the start of November. They welcome a Tottenham side that has lost three consecutive Premier League matches. Spurs haven’t lost four league games in a row since a run of six in 2004.
The goals have dried up for Antonio Conte’s men. Tottenham failed to score in two of those three home defeats. They’re also conceding far too often. They’ve let in at least two goals in each of their last four. They conceded more goals in their three most recent matches than they did in the first nine under manager Antonio Conte.
But they do have a good record against Manchester City. Spurs have won three if their last four against the Citizens. That’s more than they won in the 13 games before then. Conte has won two of his four games against Pep Guardiola’s City side. I like them plus a goal and a half in the Asian lines.
- Selection: Tottenham +1.5 (AH)
- Best Odds: 2.08 (Unibet)
- Stakes: 7/10
