Man United vs Liverpool Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview
Super Sunday in the Premier League kicks off at Old Trafford and we have you covered for Man United vs Liverpool prediction, team news, lineups and fixtures.
The Reds began the week as title favourites and will be seeking revenge on Man Utd after the Red Devils dumped them out of the FA Cup in dramatic fashion. James Cantrill has cast an eye over this clash picking out three best bets at 1.95, 2.70, and 4.40.

Man United vs Liverpool Prediction 1: Won’t make the same mistake twice…
England, Premier League, Sunday, March 7th, 15:30 (UK)
Assuming Liverpool beats Sheffield United on Thursday – they are as short as 1.08 on to do so – they will have only lost twice all season.
The Reds two point lead at the top of the table could have increased but without knowing the results of Arsenal vs Luton and Manchester City vs Aston Villa as I write, I can only assume it will be as you were as matchday 32 begins.
This means the Reds will begin the weekend as title favourites, but with the other title contenders within striking distance, three points are a necessity at Old Trafford.
If the reverse fixture is anything to go by, this won’t be a cakewalk for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Reds were held at Anfield by an uncharacteristically stubborn, albeit fortunate, Man Utd.
Despite outshooting Eric ten Hag’s side 34-6 and hitting the target eight times as much as the Red Devils, Liverpool did not manage to break the deadlock.
This was Manchester United’s only 0-0 of the season, but I do not expect this to be the case on Sunday.
Backing Liverpool to win and both teams to score appeals here.
Despite dominating the FA Cup quarter-final here, Liverpool had slack finishing to blame for their cup exit. I don’t think Klopp will allow his side to make the same mistake twice.

Man United vs Liverpool Prediction 2: Mo Old Trafford Goals
Mohammed Salah has played Manchester United 12 times in the top flight, scoring ten and setting up another four goals. This feat is made even more impressive, considering he didn’t have a hand in any goals in his first four appearances against them.
In his last six league appearances against Man Utd, the attacker has had a hand in 13 goals, bagging two or more goals three times and taking home the match ball once.
December’s stalemate was the first time in the league that Salah failed to net against his side’s rivals since 2021.
The Egyptian also scored when the sides met before the break in the cup, and at a shade of odds, he is worth a tout to find the net again.
With 155 goals in 254 appearances and a goals-per-match average of 0.61, it is not just Man Utd Salah loves to score against. Based on the GpM average alone, his price this Sunday is worth taking and that is without considering his record against the opposition.
- Man United vs Liverpool Prediction 2: Mohammed Salah Anytime Goalscorer (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.95

Man United vs Liverpool Prediction 3: Darwin’s de-volution
Anthony Taylor has the whistle at Old Trafford, a referee who has brandished 105 yellows and three red cards in 21 top-flight appearances this term.
Although neither team boasts a particularly poor disciplinary record: the last two meetings have seen 16 cards flashed, two of which red.
With an obliging referee, high stakes and card form, I think the player card market is worth delving into at Old Trafford.
Darwin Nunez’s price stands out. The frontman has picked up eight bookings this term, cranking him fourth-joint most in the league.
He was carded first in the reverse fixture and has also picked up cards in other big fixtures vs Man City, Arsenal, and Newcastle this term.
So, at a chunky price, I think Nunez is worth backing to be shown a card.

- Best Odds: 4.40

Man United vs Liverpool Team News and Possible Lineups: Butcher cropped again
Despite featuring from the bench at Brentford, Lisandro Martinez is set for another spell on the sidelines for a calf strain. Victor Lindelof is also ruled out for the foreseeable meaning Raphael Varane should partner Harry Maguire in defence.
The likes of Curtis Jones, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota are nearing returns from injury.
Curtis Jones should be available for selection on Sunday but this clash looks to have come too soon for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Andy Robertson returned to full training at the weekend so could start here.
Manchester United possible starting lineup: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka; Mainoo, McTominay; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
Liverpool possible starting lineup: Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Gomez; Szoboszlai, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
