In every Premier League calendar, this fixture will always remain one of the most anticipated games to look forward to. While both sides remain rivals in the traditional sense, they have been anything but that in recent years. The latter statement is evident once again in the fact that both sides approach this game with different ambitions.
After easing into the Champions League semi-final and into the FA Cup final with a statement victory over Manchester City at the weekend, Liverpool are the team to beat right now. Though he continues to downplay it, Jurgen Klopp will relish the thought of his side claiming a historic quadruple come May.
In the Premier League, Liverpool remain neck-and-neck with City as only a mere point separates both sides. It will be a game of catch and run as both sides must show their grit and resilience from now up until the end of the season. The Reds could temporarily go top of the table with a win here and they have enough incentive to do that.

For Manchester United, there is nothing more to fight for than a top-four finish and that remains their only aim at the moment. Fortunately, recent results have been in favour of the Red Devils of late and they now find themselves only three points shy of fourth-placed Tottenham.
The reverse fixture was a completely one-sided affair, as Liverpool humiliated United at Old Trafford with a 5-0 thrashing back in October. However, I am expecting a much more ‘respectful’ result this time around, but still backing the Reds to come out on top.
Manchester United can realistically think about top-four again and you can never write off a goal-hungry Cristiano Ronaldo, especially with the Portuguese bagging a milestone hattrick last time out. It was only Norwich though, right?
Regardless, Liverpool should have every reason to be confident going into this game, as they are unbeaten in their last seven league games against Manchester United. The Reds have also gone 19 games unbeaten at Anfield and the desire to keep that record intact is even more motivation to win.
In fact, Liverpool are the only side to go unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season.
For United, their leaky defence remains their biggest worry and they even had to battle to win against a poor Norwich side after blowing a two-goal lead. The Red Devils have only one clean sheet across 10 games and taking on a Liverpool side with eight goals across their last three games (five against Manchester City) is enough reason to be wary.
Manchester United have only won one away game across all competitions since February and the chances of ending that run at Anfield are rather slim. It is a sorry case for the Red Devils as a win could mean doing their Manchester rivals a big favour but they won’t matter about that at the moment.
Manchester United vs Liverpool fixtures in recent times have either been very explosive or very conservative and ‘cautious’ from both sides. Given what is at stake at the moment, I am backing the former to happen, just like last time.

For obvious reasons, Liverpool are the favourites to win this one and I’m backing them to make that happen. Though, the hosts have been poor in defence recently and Rangnick’s men might get a goal of their own.
Mohamed Salah could easily get a goal or two, or maybe even more (like last time) and that plays well with backing him to get a couple of goals. At least.

WHAT IS A BET BUILDER?
A bet builder is a kind of accumulator bet solely focussed on one match. A standard acca features multiple selections across different selections combined together into one bet. If one selection loses, the whole bet loses. A bet builder is similar but each selection is placed on the same match. Similar to the American prop bet, the bet builder goes into detail on a single match. Common selections include match outcome, total goals, cards, corners, and players to score.
