Monaco vs Paris Saint-Germain Best Bet

Sun, March 13th, 12:00 (UK Time)

While the issues at Paris Saint-Germain are well known, those at Monaco have not hit the headlines nearly so significantly but are, nonetheless, important. Having taken the bold decision to sack Niko Kovac in the winter, the appointment of Philippe Clement at Monaco has proven little short of a disaster. They have won only one of their last six.

Rather than getting better, the principality team are getting worse. Against Braga on Thursday, they had plenty of aimless possession but little attacking threat and were held to a 1-1 draw that saw them exit the Europa League. Their tactics are hard to fathom and they appear rudderless at present.

PSG, meanwhile, also have big issues, but they also boast the type of match-winning talent that is simply not present in Clement’s Monaco side. Indeed, they won 2-0 when these sides met in December.

Poor away form has blighted PSG in recent weeks, but after their star players were booed at home in a win over Bordeaux last weekend, playing on the road may actually suit the league leaders on this occasion.

At odds close to Evens, they are hard to ignore.

  • Selection: PSG to Win
  • Best Odds: 1.98 (SBK)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Angers vs Brest Best Bet

Sun, March 20th, 14:00 (UK Time)

Angers start this match as the bookies’ favourites to get the victory, but there is nothing in the form of these clubs that backs that assertion up. The home side are on a losing streak that now totals eight games, while in their last 12 they have won only once. Furthermore, they have scored only once in their last five matches.

Brest, meanwhile, might have lost to Marseille 4-1 at home last weekend, but that was an unflattering scoreline for them. Furthermore, their away form has been solid. Although they have only won four times on the road this season, they have lost only twice since the beginning of October. Those defeats came against leaders PSG and in-form Rennes.

Meanwhile, Angers’ three successes at home since the end of August have come against teams embroiled in the thick of the relegation battle. Brest are better than all three of those opponents.

Complicating matters further for the hosts is an injury that Angelo Fulgini picked up in training on Thursday. Their key playmaker is a doubt.

All this points to a match in which Brest should be lightly favoured as the team likelier to win.

  • Selection: Brest Draw no Bet
  • Best Odds: 2.55 (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 5/10

Rennes vs Metz Best Bet

Sun, March 20th, 14:00 (UK Time)

Rennes gave an excellent account of themselves on Thursday against Leicester, exiting the Conference League with a flourish as they beat the Premier League side 2-1 at home. They deserved to progress for their efforts over the two legs.

Nevertheless, they reaffirmed their status as Ligue 1’s most exciting side at present as they picked up their fifth win from five matches.

Domestically, Rennes have been thrilling in recent times, scoring 14 times in four matches, but the incessant pace of their schedule threatens to catch up with them before the international break.

Furthermore, Metz are a side that have tightened right up defensively. They have kept five cleansheets in their last nine games. Metz’s problems are at the other end of the field, where they have scored just twice in the same period.

Head coach Frederic Antonetti will take his side west with the belief that a point would be a good outcome in this encounter. Don’t expect Metz to change their negative approach. This, combined with Rennes’ mental and physical fatigue levels, suggests another low-scoring encounter.

  • Selection: Under 2.5 goals
  • Best Odds: 2.1 (Boylesport)
  • Stakes: 4/10

Reims vs Lyon Best Bet

Sun, March 20th, 16:05 (UK Time)

There has been little logic in the good run of form that Reims have found themselves in over the course of the last six weeks. Beset by injury issues to key players and down to the bare bones, they have somehow pieced together a run that has seen them lose only one of their last six games.

On Sunday, they will host a Lyon side they have a surprisingly excellent record against. Not only did Reims spring a major upset in December by winning 1-0 at Parc OL, but they have also lost only one of the last seven meetings between these clubs dating back to October 2015.

Lyon, meanwhile, continue to be wildly unpredictable. In between matches that saw them eliminate Porto from the Europa League, they suffered a 4-2 defeat at home against Rennes in Ligue 1. Although they won 4-1 in Lorient in their last league away fixture, they have not typically travelled well this season and have won only four of 13 on their travels.

Odds-on favouritism for Lyon seems out of sync with the form of these clubs, while it would be little surprise to see the guests suffer something of a European hangover before the international break.

  • Selection: Reims +0.5 (AH)
  • Best Odds: 2.03 (Betway)
  • Stakes: 4/10

WHAT IS A LIGUE 1 ACCA?

A  Ligue 1 acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A Ligue 1 acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Ligue 1 accas which is what we have created here.
