Paris Saint-Germain vs Bordeaux Best Bet
Sun, March 13th, 12:00 (UK Time)
Paris Saint-Germain will need time to digest their remarkable Champions League exit to Real Madrid on Wednesday. Once again, there was evidence of the mental weakness in the Parisian side when placed under pressure. Their supporters have not reacted well to it and are liable to be hostile.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino even admitted in the aftermath of the game that the squad will be difficult to motivate in the weeks ahead, particularly as the league title already seems to be wrapped up.
While it is unthinkable that PSG fail to win at home on Sunday – they have won all but two home matches this season – it would be little surprise to see them labour, especially given the importance of every fixture now to their guests.
Bordeaux are rock bottom of the table but had picked up a couple of useful draws prior to a shock loss at home against Troyes last weekend. Defensively, they certainly have issues, but they are strong going forward and will have key attacker Alberth Elis back in their starting XI for this match.
Although their record is historically dreadful against PSG – they have been beaten in 10 of the last 12 – they have not lost any of their last eight by more than a single goal.
Backing Bordeaux with a healthy handicap looks good value.
- Selection: Bordeaux +2.5 (AH)
- Best Odds: 1.77 (Bet10)
- Stakes: 7/10
Clermont vs Lorient Best Bet
Sun, March 13th, 14:00 (UK Time)
Clermont have shifted themselves out of the relegation battle impressively in recent weeks and can go a long way to confirming their status as a Ligue 1 side on Sunday if they beat a Lorient team that has a woeful track record on the road.
The home side might have gone down 4-0 to Lille last weekend, but they were thoroughly competitive until they were reduced to 10 men midway through the second half. Prior to that outing, they have won three of five league matches.
Lorient, meanwhile, were simply woeful a week ago when they were hammered 4-1 at home by Lyon. They have since suffered from flu in their camp, with striker Terem Moffi likely to be back but fellow attacker Armand Lauriente missing.
Although they won their last away match against Brest, it was their first away success since October 2020. Furthermore, they played 10 men for over an hour of that game.
Curiously, Clermont fare better against the league’s stronger sides, which means that Draw No Bet is the way to go on this match.
- Selection: DNB Clermont
- Best Odds: 1.61 (Coral)
- Stakes: 8/10
Lyon vs Rennes Best Bet
Sun, March 13th, 16:05 (UK Time)
This has the potential to be one of the most exciting games of the weekend, with both clubs having run into some form lately.
Lyon were extremely slick last weekend as they dismantled Lorient 4-1 away from home. Indeed, it was their best performance in weeks. They built on that against Porto on Wednesday as they won their Europa League first leg 1-0 in Portugal, though it was a far more open and exciting game than that scoreline suggests.
Rennes, meanwhile, saw a three-game winning streak ended by Leicester in the Conference League on Thursday as they went down 2-0 away from home. However, they recorded an xG of greater than 2 and were the more enterprising side. Former Lyon boss Bruno Genesio’s men have been entertaining lately, netting 10 goals in their last three league games.
The Bretons don’t tend to travel well – they have lost six of their seven away games in 2022 – while Lyon are pretty robust at home, though they did lose last time out to Lille.
A high-scoring game is likely, with the odds tipped in favour of the hosts.
- Selection: Lyon and Both Teams to Score
- Best Odds: 4.00 (Paddy Power)
- Stakes: 2/10
Brest vs Marseille Best Bet
Sun, March 13th, 19:45 (UK Time)
Sunday’s final match pits Brest against Marseille, in what promises to be an encounter that is hard to call.
What is likely, though, is that it will be a tight game. Brest, for example, have seen six of their last seven Ligue 1 games produce fewer than three goals. Indeed, their last three in total have seen the ball find the net only four times.
Marseille, meanwhile, have seen six of eight Ligue 1 matches finish with Under 2.5 goals since the start of the year. Furthermore, they have been involved in European action this week, which has complicated their build-up to this encounter.
The foundations of OM’s season, though, have been laid by stuffy away wins. Only two of their last 12 away matches in the league have yielded over three goals and there is nothing to suggest that this game will see a sudden rush of them.
- Selection: Under 2.5 goals
- Best Odds: 1.96 (Unibet)
- Stakes: 8/10
WHAT IS A LIGUE 1 ACCA?
A Ligue 1 acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A Ligue 1 acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Ligue 1 accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the Ligue 1 acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
