Monaco vs Reims Best Bet

Monaco need to beat Reims in Sunday’s early kick off to get their European challenge back on track after draws with Lorient and Bordeaux.
Although the hosts should achieve victory, the odds are unattractive because of their recent slip-ups. Instead, there is better value to be found on the Both Teams to Score market.
If Reims are to take a point, it is likely to be the result of a rearguard action. With leading scorer Hugo Ekitike out for at least a month, they are amputated of their best forward and will likely see a point as a good outcome. Expect a defensive approach.
Indeed, last week’s 1-1 draw with Brest ended a run of five-straight Reims games in which backing against both teams to score would be a winner.

Brest and Lorient meet in a derby match on Sunday, with the visiting side desperately in need of points to keep them away from trouble. However, this is a match that Brest must be favoured to win.
The recent home form of the home side is strong. They have won five of their last seven at home, scoring 14 goals in those matches they have been victorious in. Moreover, they will have virtually a full squad of players to pick from.
Lorient, meanwhile, are a notoriously poor team away from home. By the time this match is played, they will have won only a single road match in two years. Although their last trip ended in a scoreless draw in Monaco, that ended a seven-match pointless run away from home in the league, which included fixtures against some pretty modest opponents.
Brest have won their last five home matches against Lorient, scoring three goals on four occasions, and that strong record should continue here.

Lyon vs Lille Best Bet

There is some interesting value to be found in Lyon’s home fixture with Lille on Sunday. OL have been frustratingly unpredictable all season, winning seven of 12 home fixtures, so they are struggling to justify their warm odds-on favouritism. Lille, meanwhile, pinched a nice win at Montpellier in their last league away match.
Indeed, Lille have travelled relatively well this season after a difficult start. They have lost only one of their last six in Ligue 1 away from home and can count in that run an excellent victory in Rennes. Although they played in the Champions League in midweek, five days’ rest should mean it does not have a big impact.
The other aspect of this match worth considering is the historical head-to-head record. Lille are undefeated in their last 10 matches against Lyon over 90 minutes, dating back to 2017, and count four away wins in that time. Last season, they edged a thrilling match 3-2 by the banks of the Rhone.
Given all these facts, an Asian handicap bet at either +0 or +0.5 on the visiting team looks like excellent value.
