Update: League 1 Promotion Odds 9th November 2021

The season is well underway in England’s third tier and the League 1 promotion odds have changed significantly since the start of the season. A lot of football has been played since our most recent update. Some of the former favourites in the League 1 promotion odds now sit well off the pace.

The new favourites in the League 1 promotions odds are Rotherham. The Millers have enjoyed a fine season thus far with 31 points from 16 matches. They have the best defensive record in the division and that has affected their League 1 promotion odds. Rotherham were at 4.33 in their League 1 odds for promotion but they’re now at the best price of 1.66. The bookies fully expect them to reach England’s second tier next season.

The same is true for Wigan Athletic. The Latics have yo-yoed between the second and third tiers of English football over the last few years. The bookies have them as one of the favourites in the League 1 promotion odds at 2.10. They were out at 5.00 back in September.

Sunderland have dropped off with the bookies. The Black Cats were the bookies’ favourites for promotion a few months ago. They’ve since fallen away from the leaders both in the table and in the odds. Sunderland were the favourites at 2.38 earlier in the season. They’re now at the lower price of 2.10 but there are two clubs ahead of them in the League 1 promotion odds.

Wycombe have seemingly come out of nowhere in the League 1 odds for promotion. Back in September, the Chairboys were out at 8th in the list of favourites to go up. Wycombe have since climbed the rankings. They’re 4th in the league table, two points from the automatic places. The bookies still give them a good chance of going up.

There are some other teams around the playoff spots that the bookies think have a decent chance of going up. Oxford are available at 5.00 in the League 1 promotion odds. MK Dons, Ipswich, Plymouth and Portsmouth are all out at the best price of 6.00.

League 1 Promotion Odds 2022

What are League 1 promotion odds? This market gives punters a chance to back whichever side they think will earn promotion from League 1 this season.

There are three places up for grabs. The clubs that end the season in 1st and 2nd place are both guaranteed a spot in next season’s Championship.
