Javier Aguirre’s side salvaged three points in stoppage time against Rayo Vallecano last weekend to stay in the fight for survival and keep their destiny in their own hands.
However the trip to face Osasuna is not the game they would have wished for on the last day of the season, even though the hosts are safe in mid-table.
They are a proud club and will be a challenge for Mallorca rather than a walkover, looking to end the season with a win at El Sadar after six league games without victory.

With Villarreal at Barcelona, Athletic will be aiming to beat Sevilla and hope their rivals for seventh place slip up. The Andalusians have run out of steam towards the end of the season and just about managed to wrap up their Champions League qualification last weekend with a late goal against Atletico Madrid to draw.
That’s mission complete for Julen Lopetegui’s team and Athletic will aim take advantage at the Ramon-Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday night. It’s not an easy place to visit, though, with Sevilla boasting a strong home record, losing just once there in 18 league games. I think Athletic will make a good go of it but won’t have enough to get the win.
However, if Villarreal lose at Barcelona, a draw will still be enough to earn them European football next season as they will be level on 56 points and the Basques have the better head-to-head record.
