Both sides have struggled at times this term. The hosts have found it difficult to score goals, whilst Spurs have lacked consistency. There is very little difference in price. The future looks bright for all involved at Everton, although Premier League survival is their absolute priority. Moyes arrives here with Everton in 16th place and just a point above the relegation zone. Southampton are the only side to have scored fewer goals this term. 

Where do we even start with Spurs? Ange’s men beat Liverpool 1-0 and were held for over 100 minutes against Tamworth a few days later. The non-league side could’ve won the tie at the death. Beat the big boys and look hopeless against the lesser sides, it’s in the Spurs DNA. 

The prices in this clash are tight. Everton are around the 2.75, whilst Spurs are slight favourites at 2.50. Can you trust a Spurs side to come here and get a result, considering they’ve earned eight points in their previous ten outings? Those Everton fans will be buzzing and will act as the 12th man. The Toffees host Villa on Wednesday night. We don’t know the result at the time of writing. 

Backing BTTS is usually a short price when Spurs are involved. It’s 1.57 here and perhaps a fair figure, although it’s one I’ll swerve. Everton plays five games in January. Meanwhile, this will be the fifth of eight for the visitors. Ange is dealing with a depleted squad, especially from a defensive standpoint. Offensively, they’re strong and will aim to go forward continuously. 

Despite Dyche leaving the club, it’s hard to ignore that Everton will look to dominate from set pieces. Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray have played alongside each other in central defence for Spurs. James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite will be eager to get themselves in Spurs’ box whenever possible. The English duo have an almighty physical presence. However, James and Jarrad have yet to score this term. 

These two sides are difficult to trust at the best of times. The feel-good factor at Everton is leaning me towards the Asian Handicap market. Backing Everton 0.0 seems to be a solid option. Spurs have won a single Premier League game since the beginning of December. That arrived against a dismal Southampton. Everton can frustrate their opponents and has every opportunity to obtain a positive result. That extra stride in their step could be the difference.

Everton vs Spurs Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups Prediction: So Many Injuries

David Moyes has several absences ahead of this Sunday afternoon encounter. Broja, McNeil, Garner, Iroegbunam and Chermiti will not feature. Seamus Coleman is a doubt. Minimal changes are likely despite Moyes’ appointment. Iliman Ndiaye can create a piece of magic. 

Spurs’ injury crisis continues. Vicario and Forster won’t feature. Udogie, Davies, Romero, and Van de Ven will not play. Bentancur, Odobert and Richarlison will not feature. A handful of players are close to returning to the side after lengthy absences. It’s still a strong squad. Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin will play alongside each other once again, whilst new signing Antonio Kinsky will play between the sticks.
