We have a Dortmund vs Stuttgart prediction, team news, lineups and fixtures preview courtesy of Scott Thornton. Just four points separate these sides in the Bundesliga table as we head into Saturday’s match.
Prediction: Dortmund 4-2 Stuttgart
Stuttgart are in the driving seat in the race for the Champions League but there is still work to be done with seven games to go. RB Leipzig are aiming to displace these sides in the top four and could move above Dortmund this weekend.
- Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Tip 1: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals

- Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Tip 3: Serhou Guirassy To Score
Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 1: Both Sides at Full Tilt
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, April 6th, 17:30 (UK)
This match looks set to see a glut of goals so we are backing both teams to score and at least four goals in the match. Borussia Dortmund 2-0 against Stuttgart earlier in the season but they come into this clash in a good run of form. Edin Terzic’s men earned an impressive 2-0 win over Bayern Munich last weekend and they will undoubtedly put their best foot forward in another huge fixture.
Dortmund’s home matches in the Bundesliga this calendar year have seen four goals on average. Their last match at this ground was a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. Terzic’s men have failed to score in just one of their Bundesliga matches at Signal Iduna Park this season with those encounters averaging 3.54 goals.
Stuttgart matches have seen the 3rd most goals in the Bundesliga this season. They have scored at least two goals in their last five away matches across all competitions and those games have seen an average of four goals overall. They conceded five on their last visit to Signal Iduna Park. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side have improved massively since last season but they should still have a hard time shackling Dortmund’s attack.
- Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 1: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.10

Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 2: Dortmund Corner Trend
The next betting angle for this Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgater focuses on the corners market. We are backing the hover t10 corners on the Asian market at odds of 2.00. This means we get our stake back should the game finish with exactly ten corners.
Edin Terzic’s side have fallen short of the standards they set last season but they remain one of the most attacking teams in the German top flight. Dortmund have the quality in forward areas to cause problems for even the most well-drilled of defences. They have won an average of 6.08 corners per home game in the Bundesliga as a result. There have been 11 corners or more in their last five league matches, with those seeing an average of 13 per game.
There were 11 corners when Stuttgart played at this ground last season. The visitors only managed two corners in that game but I’m expecting them to make a greater contribution to the overall corner count this time around. Stuttgart have gone from relegation candidates to Champions League place contenders.
- Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 2: Over 10 Asian Corners
- Best Odds: 2.00
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 7/10
Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 3: Guirassy is Unstoppable
Serhou Guirassy has been one of the standout attackers in the Bundesliga this season. He set off at a blistering pace in terms of goalscoring and looked set to rival Harry Kane for the Golden Boot at one stage. The African Cup of Nations seemed to have disrupted his rhythm at club level but he comes into this clash back to his bet. The Guinea international has already scored a total of 23 goals in the league this season, only Kane has scored more.
Guirassy is a physically imposing striker. He has the strength to hold off opposition defenders. He also stands at 6’2” and is an aerial threat as a result. Serhou has benefitted from Stuttgart’s proactive attacking play and is a real predator in the opposition box. He is averaging just under six touches in the opposition penalty area per 90 minutes played and has proven to be deadly in that area of the pitch.
His average non-penalty xG of 0.93 per 90 minutes puts him in the top 1% of forwards by that metric when compared with all other strikers from Europe’s top five leagues. He has scored five goals in his last four Bundesliga matches.
- Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Prediction 3: Serhou Guirassy To Score
- Best Odds: 2.25
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 7/10
