Di Marzio gives interesting update on Victor Osimhen’s future

Victor Osimhen was involved in a shock transfer in the summer, after he decided to join Galatasaray from Napoli. 

We are now in December, which means that Christmas is not long away, but for many football fans the real Christmas is the transfer window, where they are following their favourite clubs very intensively. 

Because of that, we sat down to talk to Gianluca Di Marzio, who works as a transfer journalist, and he gave us an update on Osimhen’s future.

Galatasaray eying an opportunity to sign Osimhen on a permanent deal

Despite the fact that Osimhen is expecting to be wanted by a lot of clubs, Di Marzio leaves a small chance that Galasaray can keep the Nigerian center forward. 

“First of all, Osimhen wants to finish the season at Galatasaray. He is really happy to be there and doesn’t want to talk about other clubs.”

“He wants to play and win there. I will leave a small percentage that Galatasaray will try to buy him and talk to Napoli to find an agreement.”

“It would probably be less than the exit clause, but Galatasaray is so happy with him that they are planning to find a solution with Napoli.”

One Saudi Arabian club wants Osimhen on these conditions

Di Marzio does not know the name of the club, but he does know that one Saudi Arabian club wants Osimhen very badly, but the terms of agreement are what is making the deal a bit hard at this moment in time.

“I also know that one Saudi Arabian club wants him. I don´t know the name of the club, but they are ready to buy him for Napoli and get him after the season ends.”

“The thing is they want to sign him now and Osimhen doesn´t want to sign now, he wants to wait. He wants to use this season as an opportunity to let Premier League club decide to make an offer for Napoli.”

PSG not out of the race yet

Paris Saint-Germain wanted Osimhen in the summer, but Napoli rejected their bid, which is why the deal seemed a bit far away. Di Marzio, however, gives a bit of hope to the fans of the Parisian club. 

“PSG is still an opportunity as well, and they were the only club that placed a bid for him in the summer. They offered €220 million for Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, so maybe they will try to get both again.”

“But he wants to finish the season at Galatasaray, even though the Saudi Arabian club wants to sign him now.”
