Champions League Acca Tips: Wednesday 3rd November

The Champions League is back with Matchday 4 of the group stage. A total of 16 matches will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday with more than enough opportunities to find betting value. Wednesday brings some very interesting rematches of Matchday 3, with Sherriff hosting Inter Milan, Dortmund locking horns with Ajax, AC Milan taking on Porto, and RB Leipzig challenging PSG.

Match 1: Sheriff vs Inter Milan – Sheriff +1.5 (AH)

Inter Milan beat Sheriff by 3-1 at San Siro last time around, but they will be playing this one in Tiraspol. Sheriff are unbeaten in their last five home games in major competitions, and they bested Real Madrid in Matchday 2 in late September. I don’t recommend backing them in the 1X2 market, but a 1.5 goal advantage should get them over the edge in this one.

Match 2: Borussia Dortmund vs Ajax – Dortmund -0.75 (AH)

Their last encounter saw Ajax celebrating a 4-0 victory at Amsterdam Arena. But Dortmund are a very dangerous team at home, averaging 3.17 goals scored per match in the Bundesliga.  Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in their last 10 home games in the group stage of the Champions League, keeping clean sheets in seven of these matches. They are a dangerous team and are coming into this one severely underrated.

Match 3: AC Milan vs Porto – AC Milan -0.5 (AH)

AC Milan underperformed in their recent encounter against Porto, only attempting 1 shot on target. But their overall form has been excellent this season, and they are on a 7-match winning streak in Serie A. AC Milan have performed very well in home matches so far, and I expect another solid home outing in this one. The cards are stacked against them with 3 losses after Matchday 3, and this is likely their last chance to salvage their Champions League campaign. I expect a much better performance from Rossoneri this time around, and I feel confident backing them in the Asian Handicap market.

Match 4: RB Leipzig vs PSG – RB Leipzig +0.25 

It was a close match between these two teams in Matchday 3 at Parc des Princes. Despite taking the 2:1 lead, RB Leipzig eventually lost by 3:2 due to a brace of goals from Lionel Messi 67′, 74 (P). But RB Leipzig showed they have the quality to challenge the Parisians, so don’t be surprised if we see another close match. Despite terrible performances in away matches, Leipzig have been excellent at Red Bull Arena, with averages of 3.60 goals scored in the Bundesliga. Though I don’t recommend backing them in the 1X2 market just yet, they provide bettors with solid value in the Asian Handicap market. .
