Bochum vs Greuther Furth best bet
Saturday, March 5th, 14:30 (UK time)
While Bochum are still some distance away from being dragged into the relegation fight in the German top flight, Thomas Reis’ side have only won one of their last five league games and will be desperate to pick up all three points against Greuther Furth.
Their visitors on the day have been truly atrocious in the Bundesliga this season, particularly on the road where Stefan Leitl’s struggling side have yet to pick up a single victory from 12 attempts thus far.
In contrast, Bochum have managed to climb to the relatively safety of midtable thanks to their home form, which has seen the Westphalia side not only pick up six wins and three draws from 12 games but also pocket some notable scalps, such as a 4-2 victory over Bayern Munich and wins over Eintracht Frankfurt, Hoffenheim and Freiburg.
Bochum have run a tight ship in front of their own fans at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion this season and with that in mind, it’s certainly a safe bet to assume that Reis’ side will have enough about them to down their fellow recently-promoted foes on Saturday.
- Selection: Home win
- Best odds: 1.81 (Unibet)
- Stakes: 8/10

Hertha Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt Best Bet
Saturday, March 5th, 14:30 (UK time)
It seems almost a certainty that Hertha Berlin’s clash with Eintracht Frankfurt will be a Bundesliga clash for the purists on Saturday, as both teams look entirely bereft of confidence or form.
The home side continue to look truly hopeless under interim head coach Tayfun Korkut, with four defeats and a lacklustre 1-1 draw with Bochum from their last five games in the German top flight. And in that period Hertha have managed to score just four goals, while conceding 16 in return.
Fortunately for the capital club, their visitors on Friday don’t look much better. Any good form Oliver Glasner’s side enjoyed at the end of last season has been well and truly spent and the Eagles now find themselves on a losing run that has stretched to three games.
Like their hosts on Saturday, Frankfurt have also struggled for goals in recent weeks and haven’t scored at all in their last three games. Which has largely been down to new striker Rafael Borre failing to find the back of the net in each of his last six games, despite bagging four in December alone.
It’s unlikely that Glasner’s side will find their shooting boots before their trip to Berlin on Saturday and against a dejected Hertha side we should expect a low scoring affair.
- Selection: Under 2.5 goals
- Best odds: 2.07 (Unibet)
- Stakes: 7/10

Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen best bet
Saturday, March 5th, 14:30 (UK time)
On Saturday two of the biggest and most exciting teams in the Bundesliga will lock horns when Bayer Leverkusen travel to Bayern Munich in the hope of putting a dent in the Bavarian club’s stroll to another league title.
In their last 10 league games, Bayern have looked good enough but certainly not immune to the odd hiccup, having lost to both Borussia Monchengladbach and Bochum. And more often than not their troubles come about from some sloppy defending. In those same 10 matches, Julian Nagelsmann’s side have conceded no less than 11 goals.
Fortunately, they’ve often made up for that by scoring far more for themselves, but there’s undoubtedly a soft underbelly to this Bayern team that Leverkusen will look to exploit.
Indeed, Gerardo Seoane’s side have not only scored at least two goals in their last seven Bundesliga matches but also have the third-best offensive record in the division this season with 63 goals in 24 games. The visitors will be without star striker Patrik Schick, but there’s no doubt that Moussa Diaby and Florian Wirtz have enough about them to unlock a leaky Bayern defence.
- Selection: Over 3.5 goals
- Best odds: 1.72 (Bet365)
- Stakes: 8/10
