Bayern Munich vs Inter Prediction – Champions League Quarter-Final Analysis

Bundesliga meets Serie A in the first Champions League quarter-final as Bayern Munich welcome Inter to the Allianz Arena.
With six rounds remaining in the Bundesliga, Bayern have already secured a Champions League spot for next season, and a sixth-point lead over Leverkusen—with a significantly better goal difference—suggests they’re well on track for another domestic title. Bayern made a strong statement in the Round of 16, dominating Leverkusen 3-0 at home and 2-0 away. While calling it revenge might be a stretch, Leverkusen were the side that ended Kompany’s domestic treble hopes by knocking Bayern out of the German Cup.
Despite a poor away record in the Champions League group stage (three losses in four), Bayern have been rock solid at home with four straight wins at the Allianz Arena. Still, they looked shaky in the last 16 against Celtic, only securing the tie with a stoppage-time goal (90+4) to make it 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-1 win in Glasgow. That shows Bayern can be rattled at home, even if it’s a rare feat.
They’ll be without key playmaker Jamal Musiala due to injury, a heavy blow. Veteran Thomas Müller may step in but is rarely a starter these days. Also out is legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, meaning 22-year-old Jonas Urbig gets the nod. He conceded three in his debut against Bochum but kept clean sheets home and away versus Leverkusen.
Bayern’s injury list is long: defenders Hiroki Ito, Dayot Upamecano, and Alphonso Davies are out, as is holding midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic (recovering from glandular fever), and winger Kingsley Coman. A tough situation for Vincent Kompany as he heads into the final stretch of the season.

Inter Eye Strong Result in Germany
Inter are locked in a tense Serie A title race with Napoli. They currently hold a four-point lead, though Napoli have a game in hand. With a 2-2 draw against relegation-threatened Parma last time out, Inter can’t afford many more slip-ups. In truth, they were lucky to get a point, with Parma having multiple chances to win.
Before that, Inter drew 1-1 in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Milan, and with the second leg looming, it’s a packed schedule for Simone Inzaghi’s side. The question is whether they have the depth and energy to compete on multiple fronts as the season draws to a close.
Injury-wise, Inter are in better shape than Bayern but still have concerns. Wing-back Denzel Dumfries, midfielder Piotr Zielinski, and forward Mehdi Taremi are all doubts. Defender Alessandro Bastoni could be fit despite being subbed off at half-time against Parma as a precaution. The return of striker Lautaro Martinez is crucial after missing the Udinese and Milan games. Midfielder Kristjan Asllani is suspended and will watch from the stands.
This won’t be an easy trip for Inter, but the Italians have a good chance of coming away from Munich with a solid result. Bayern’s defensive unit is weakened and Urbig is inexperienced in games of this magnitude—Inter’s attackers should test him early and often. Both teams have plenty of attacking threat despite the absences, with Bayern boasting Leroy Sané, Michael Olise, and Harry Kane. Inter showed their scoring ability away from home against Feyenoord in the previous round, and both teams to score looks like a strong play.
