Eurovision Betting Tips 2024: Expert Betting Tips for This Year's Song Contest in Malmö

It’s Eurovision time as 26 nations descend on the Malmö Arena in Sweden for the world’s biggest song competition. Of course, we need a bettingexpert take on proceedings so we’ve got a couple of Eurovision 2024 tips for this Saturday’s showpiece event.

The bookmakers get it right

Over the last 10 years or so, bookmakers have been largely right with their selections for who will win the competition. Except for Ukraine in 2016, winners have all come from the top 3 in the betting (on the day of the competition) with the majority of winners being the pre-competition favourite. We can therefore take this as a good marker when looking at the outright winner betting market.

All eyes then on Croatia’s entry as it currently sits odds on favourite. “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” is an extremely catchy song and what will be considered one of 2024’s “bangers”. The thumping blend of guitar hooks, rock drums, and synth stabs certainly have the recipe for a winner.

Tip 2 – Armenia top 10 finish – current best odds: 3.00

There’s frequently an innocent, fun, party song that places well in the competition (think Moldova 2017 & 2022). “Jako” by Ladaniva for Armenia has all the hallmarks as it blends a party atmosphere with a fun, traditional sound. Further to this, following Armenia’s performance in the first semi-final, there was a good amount of positive talk for the song on social platforms such as Reddit and X.

Finally, the song has been drawn 19th in the running order which is a prime location given the majority of the winners have come from the latter half of the draw in the last 20 years. Taking all this into consideration, we feel there are enough reasons for this song to finish in the top 10.
