Off to a 4-0 start, the New York Liberty have picked up where they left off last season after winning the Eastern Conference. It’s no surprise New York is heavily favored when looking at Liberty vs Sky Prediction Win Probability and odds for Thursday night’s game in Brooklyn.

Chicago has not played in almost a week after facing the Dallas Wings in their first two regular-season contests. The Sky are 1-1 after dealing Kahleah Cooper in the offseason and drafting Angel Reese.

The WNBA campaign is underway, and our Expert Insights are stacked with basketball betting tips. Expert Sam Cox will have his best bets throughout the regular season.

The Liberty have only scored over 93.5 points once in their first four games. That was against the struggling Indiana Fever, who they managed to bully on the boards. We can’t see New York being as overpowering on the glass against Chicago – the Sky are middle of the pack in rebounding rate.

While New York is the far better team overall, this spread also seems a bit on the generous side. Only one of the Liberty’s first four wins has covered this line. Chicago went 1-1 against the Dallas Wings, and we think they can be relatively competitive at Barclays Center even with Kamilla Cardoso sidelined until the end of the month.

New York Liberty Injury Report, Schedule: Stewart Leads Flawless Liberty

Sitting 4-0 with the best record in the WNBA, the New York Liberty have a whopping +19.8 net rating. After losing in the Finals last year, the Liberty have flown out the blocks this season, and look poised for another impressive regular season campaign.

Four of their five starters are averaging over 14 points per game. Reigning MVP Breanna Stewart has been exceptional after struggling in the opening game of the season. Second in offensive and defensive rating, it’s hard to find a flaw in this Liberty team through their first four games.

Chicago Sky News, Injury Report, Schedule: Rebuilding Around Draft Picks

One of two teams to have only played two games so far this season, there isn’t too much to take away from how the Chicago Sky have performed. Splitting a two-game set with the Dallas Wings doesn’t tell us a great deal. Angel Reese hasn’t made the best start to her professional career, but there was always bound to be a settling-in period for the seventh overall pick.

This is a rebuilding year for the Sky. They dealt with Kahleah Cooper and invested in the draft. Coaching and general manager changes reflect a franchise heading in a new direction. They are not expected to make the playoffs and will do well to avoid a blowout against a formidable Liberty team.

Liberty vs Sky H2H: Liberty’s Recent Successes

The Chicago Sky have a 34-32 advantage over the New York Liberty in the regular season. Chicago has also won two of the three playoff games between these franchises.

Unsurprisingly, the Liberty took the 2023 season series three games to one. It was their first season series win over Chicago since 2017 – New York has won four of the last six regular-season duels.
