Cleveland Cavaliers vs Brooklyn Nets
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had an unexpectedly good start to the season, and are one of the biggest surprises this year. They have suffered injury issues in recent games, but with Love, Allen, and Markkanen finally back in the lineup, they will have multiple scoring options and an elite rim protector. The Cavs are 3rd in points allowed this season with just 101.7, and their defence has been a huge factor in their success. They lost their recent encounter against the Nets by 10 points at Barclays Center, and they will be out for revenge in this one.
The Brooklyn Nets have been rolling recently, and are now 2nd in the Eastern Conference with 12 wins and 5 losses. But Kevin Durant missed their most recent game against the Orlando Magic due to a shoulder injury, and the Nets barely took the win by a 2-point margin. Durant has been their top scorer this season with 28.6 points per game, and his shooting numbers have been down recently due to an injury in his hooting (right) arm. James harden has picked up the slack , but the Cavalierss are 66.7% ATS this season, and they can close the gap in this one.
Tip: Cleveland Cavaliers +7.5 at 1.98 odds

Chicago Bulls vs Indiana Pacers
The Chicago Bulls have been one of the best teams in the NBA, and are sitting atop the Eastern Conference. Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan have been their main scorers this year with over 26 points per game each, but it’s their consistent defence that has allowed them to win 12 games already. The Bulls are averaging 103.6 points allowed per game, and 16.2 turnovers forced. The Bulls are the second-best team ATS this season, covering in 70.6% of their games so far, and the -4.5 points shouldn’t be a problem to overcome.
The Indiana Pacers have had a slow start to the season, only winning 7 games so far, and sitting 13th in the east. Their defence has been respectable this year, allowing 106.8 points per game, but they have struggled to score, especially against tougher defences. Though the Pacers are coming off an important 111-94 home win against the Pelicans, their play on the road has been quite poor this season, only winning 2 of their 11 games. The Chicago Bulls are a terrible match-up for the tentative Pacers offence, and they should easily cover the spread in this one.
Tip: Chicago Bulls -4.5 at 1.96 odds

Milwaukee Bucks vs Orlando Magic
The Milwaukee Bucks have had a disappointing start to the 2021/22 season as the defending NBA champions. But they are on a 3-game winning streak at the moment and coming off a 117-108 win against the Orlando Magic. But the Bucks have fallen off significantly compared to last season, and are mediocre in almost all aspects of the game. They are averaging 108.0 points allowed per game, and are among the worst 2-point and free-throw shooting teams in the NBA. The Bucks are also the second-worst team in the league ATS this year, covering in just 6 of their 17 games, and they have covered just once in 7 games where they were home favourites.
The Orlando Magic are coming into this game looking for revenge after their most recent loss to the Bucks. The Magic had an unusually bad shooting night for 2, with just 39.8% from the field. But they played well enough to keep the game close, and only lost by a 9-point margin and covered the spread by 3.5 points. The Magic have a young squad determined to prove themselves against the top teams in the league, and this is the ideal opportunity for them to retaliate with a strong performance on the road. I don’t expect them to pull out a win here, but they are more than capable of covering the 12.5 point spread.
Tip: Orlando Magic +12.5 at 1.94 odds

Utah Jazz vs Memphis Grizzlies
The Utah Jazz have been the best-attacking team this season in the NBA, with a rating of 114.4, and an average of 112.1 points per game. They now have 5 different players averaging more than 10 points per game, making them very difficult to contain. The Jazz have averaged around 120 points in their last 3 games, and their offence is on fire at the moment. They will be facing the worst defence in the league in this one, and it’s almost a guarantee that the Jazz will have another high-scoring game.
But the key factor in this game will be the Memphis Grizzlies. They are one of the most inconsistent teams in the league, largely due to their terrible defence. The Grizzlies are averaging 109.6 points scored and 114.7 allowed per game. Their outside defence has been the worst in the league, which is exactly where the Jazz attempt a huge number of shots. The Grizzlies are coming off a terrible 138-95 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and have a habit of bouncing back after tough losses this year. They will have to rely on their offence to keep the game close, and they are we have seen that they are more than capable of going off for high-scoring games. 4 of the last 5 games between the Jazz and Grizzlies have gone Over, and I expect this one to follow the same trend. My only concern is the lack of consistency from the Grizzlies, which is why I would suggest going with a smaller stake.
