Utah Jazz vs Charlotte Hornets

The Utah Jazz are one of the top teams in the west this season with 20 wins and 9 losses. Most of their success this season has come due to their elite offence which has ranked 1st in the NBA in offensive rating, and is scoring an impressive 115.6 points per game (1st in NBA). Their scoring has been very efficient throughout the season from both inside and out the 3-point line, and they are 1st in the league in effective FG percentage with 57.2%. Both of their encounters last season against the Hornets saw a very high number of points, with their last one being a 132-110 victory for the Jazz.

The Charlotte Hornets have also had one of the best offences in the league this year, averaging 115.3 points per game and a 3-point percentage of 38.0%. In fact, the Hornets have had the most high-scoring games this season, going over in 64.5% of their games. This is because of their fast-paced style of play, but also because of their terrible defence which allows 117.3 points per game (30th in NBA). I expect to see another fast and high-scoring game between these two teams and despite the very high 235.0 point line, I still expect them to go over.

Tip: over 235.0 points at 2.00 odds

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings

The Golden State Warriors have one of the most exciting teams in the league at the moment and are now 2nd in the Western Conference with 24 wins and 6 losses. They have anchored the best defence in the league with a rating of 101.7 and have allowed just 101.1 points per game (1st in NBA). But they’ve been dealing with a lot of injury issues recently, and their form has diminished in the last 5 games, ranking 19th in offensive and 18th in defensive rating during that stretch. They are coming off a 119-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors, and with the current state of the team, it’s hard to imagine them bouncing back tonight.

That said, the Sacramento Kings haven’t been the best team in the NBA this year, but they are still 10th in the west and hoping to take advantage of the current state of the league to make a push. They are also dealing with some injury/health&safety absences, but are coming off an impressive 121-114 victory over the Spurs, where Hield, Haliburton and Jones carried their offensive load. Although the Kings haven’t been very good ATS this season, they are still capable of holding their own against any team, and with a handicap line of +13.5 points, it’s hard to ignore them.

Tip: Sacramento Kings +13.5 at 1.94 odds

LA Clippers vs San Antonio Spurs

The LA Clippers are having a surprisingly successful season despite the continued absence of Kawhi Leonard. With 16 wins and 14 losses, they are 5th in the west. But their recent injury issues have negatively impacted their form and they are now on a 2-game losing streak and coming off an unexpected 104-103 loss to the OKC Thunder. They were already one of the worst offensive teams in the league, to begin with, ranking 24th in offensive rating, but the recent elbow injury to Paul George is a devastating blow to this team. They are subpar against the spread at home this year, covering in just 42% of their games.

What’s more, the San Antonio Spurs have significantly improved their form recently, ranking 2nd in offensive rating in the last 5 games whilst averaging 116.2 points. Although their defence hasn’t been nearly as good as expected, ranking 21st in the NBA in defensive rating, they shouldn’t have a problem defending against the struggling Clippers. The Spurs are underdogs in this one and with more than 70% of bettors backing the Clippers, the value is definitely with Greg Popovich’s side. The Spurs have been solid on the road this season, covering in 57.1% of their games, and with their recent attacking form, they are definitely worth backing in the handicap market.

Tip: San Antonio Spurs +4.5 at 1.99 odds
