Indiana Pacers vs OKC Thunder Best Bet
Sat, Feb 26. 00:00 (UK)
The Indiana Pacers are 13th in the eastern conference with just 2 wins in their last 10 games. They have ranked 16th in offensive and 29th in defensive rating in the last 10 games. Although their offence has shown signs of great potential at times, their abysmal defence has prevented them from finding success in the conference. The Pacers have allowed an average of 112.0 points per game, whilst allowing opponents to shoot 36.2% from beyond the arc, and only grabbing 6.9 steals (26th in NBA). They have covered the spread in just 3 of their last 10 games, and with 94% of bettors backing them tonight, they don’t provide any value whatsoever.
Meawnhile, the OKC Thunder are 14th in the western conference and still one of my favourite teams of the season. They’ve only won 3 of their last 7, but their record against the spread this season has been impressive. They have covered the spread in an incredible 20 of 30 road games this season, failing to cover in just 3 of their last 10. Despite having the worst-rated offence in the last 10 games, their defence this season has been more than respectable. The Thunder are 7th in defensive rating in the last 10 games, whilst allowing just 108.1 points per game, and keeping opponents to 34.0% from beyond the arc. But the biggest reason this team has value is the betting community. Bettors avoid backing the struggling young Thunder team, leaving more than enough betting value for those who know where to look.
- Selection: OKC Thunder +7.5
- Best Odds:1.92 (Marathonbet)
- Stakes: 7/10

Washington Wizards vs San Antonio Spurs Best Bet
Sat, Feb 26. 00:00 (UK)
After an incredible start to the season, the Washington Wizards have fallen from grace and are now 11th in the east with just 4 wins in their last 10 games. They have struggled on both sides of the floor this season, averaging 107.1 points scored and 109.8 points allowed per game. They have ranked 21st in offensive and 23rd in defensive rating this season, whilst grabbing just 6.3 steals per game. Surprisingly, their inside scoring has been elite, ranking 5th in 2-point percentage, but this is about their only positive point of the season. They have covered the spread in just 3 of their last 10 games, and have a negative ATS record at home of 46.7%.
The San Antonio Spurs have had a rough couple of years, but the presence of Dejounte Murray at the All-Star game is a hopeful sight. The Spurs are currently 11th in the western conference with 23 wins and and 36 losses, with 5 wins in their last 10 games. The Spurs have ranked 10th in offensive and 18th in defensive rating in the last 10 games, and their record ATS on the road is more than respectable at 55.2%. They have had the upper hand in this match-up recently, winning their last 3 encounters, with the most recent one being a 116-99 beatdown. The Spurs are the better team coming into this one, and I have no problem backing them to cover the spread once again.
- Selection: Spurs -3.0
- Best Odds: 1.95 (Marathonbet)
- Stakes: 7/10

Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks Best Bet
Sat, Feb 26. 02:00 (UK)
The Utah Jazz have seemingly gotten over their mid-season crisis and are back to work, winning 6 of their last 10 games. But they are coming off a 106-101 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, even with Donovan Mitchell and Rody Gobert back in the lineup. The Jazz are a very slow team and their scoring has diminished recently, ranking 15th in the league in points per game. Their defence is back to normal, ranking 5th in defensive rating and allowing 104.4 points per game. But the Jazz aren’t as good as the odds suggest, and with 88% of bettors backing them tonight their 41.9% percentage ATS doesn’t exactly make them a value pick.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are like a carbon copy of the Jazz and are still sitting 5th in the conference. They allow even fewer points per game at 103.4, and are by far the slowest team in the league with a pace rating of 95.81. The Mavericks have been in excellent shape recently, winning 7 of their last 10 games and currently riding a 2-game winning streak. The Mavs have ranked 3rd in offensive rating in the last 10 games whilst averaging 112.1 points per game. Their performance against the spread on the road has been excellent this year, covering in 57.1% of their games. With just 12% of bettors backing them tonight, it’s obvious that the Mavs are an excellent underdog pick, and I have no problem backing them in the handicap market.
- Selection: Mavericks +6.0
- Best Odds: 1.95 (Marathonbet)
- Stakes: 8/10
