Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Best Bet
The Indiana Pacers have traded away Domentas Sabonis and Caris LeVert recently, and I don’t expect their new acquisitions in Haliburton, Hield and Thompson to play in this one. The Pacers have been down in the mud for quite some time now, and have been one of the worst teams in the league in the last 10 games with just 2 wins. With a lot of their remaining key players sidelined with injuries or health/safety issues, I don’t expect them to put up much of a fight against the red-hot Cavs. The Pacers have ranked 28th in defensive rating in the last 10 games, and have allowed 111.4 points per game.
The Cavaliers have been on fire this season, and are sitting 3rd in the eastern conference with 34 wins and 21 losses. But with the acquisition of Caris LeVert to their roster and his chemistry with Jarret fallen from their Nets days, they are even more dangerous than before. The Cavs have ranked 2nd in the NBA in defensive rating in the last 10 games, and although their offence hasn’t been as good, they still managed to win 7 of their last 10 and go on a 3-game winning streak. The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the best teams ATS on the road in the 2021/22 season, covering the spread in 61.5% of their games, and I trust them to get the job done against the struggling Pacers.
Tip: Cleveland Cavaliers -6.5 at 1.98 odds

Philadelphia 76ers vs OKC Thunder Best Bet
The Philadelphia 76ers have finally traded away Ben Simmons to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap. But they also gave up Seth Curry, a very valuable 3-point shooter and reliable starter. It’s unlikely that Harden will play as soon as Friday, leaving a gaping hole in the 76ers offence. The 76ers have been respectable at home this season, winning 14 of their 16 games, but their performances on both sides of the floor have been average in the last 10 games, and their record ATS has been abysmal. In fact, the 76ers have covered the spread in just 38.5% of their home games and seeing as they are heavy favourites in this one, it’s hard not to bet against them. A whopping 98% of bettors are picking them to win tonight and 80% are backing them to cover the spread.
This is exactly why the OKC Thunder have been a cheat code ATS this season. Nobody looks to pick the struggling young team with just 17 wins under their belt all season. But despite struggling to score, the OKC Thunder have ranked 4th in the league in defensive rating in their last 10 games, and a lot of their losses this season have been close calls. This makes them the 3rd best team in the NBA against the spread in road games, as they cover the spread in 63% of their games, and their reputation as a struggling young team helps a lot. This team is always worth backing, and with just 2% of bettors backing them tonight against the weakened 76ers, the 12.5-point handicap is a bargain.
Tip: OKC Thunder +12.5 at 1.94 odds

Boston Celtics vs Denver Nuggets Best Bet
The Boston Celtics are climbing the NBA standings with 8 wins in their last 10 games, and their recent 6-game winning streak. Their defence has been by far the best in the league in the last 10 games with a rating of 96.5, allowing just 94.2 points per game. Their offence has also been solid recently, averaging 112.7 points per game and ranking 11th in offensive rating. The Celtics have been terrific at home this season and given their recent form, I expect home advantage to help them get the job done against the Nuggets.
The Denver Nuggets are 6th in the western conference with 30 wins and 24 losses and are currently on a 2-game winning streak. But despite having the 2nd-best offence in the league in the last 10 games, the Nuggets don’t fare very well on the road. They have won 15 of their 29 road games, covering the spread in just 13. The Nuggets play poor defence, ranking 17th in defensive rating this season and allowing opponents to shoot 54.9% on 2-pointers. They lost both of their encounter against the Celtics this season by a big margin and given the current form of both teams, the Celtics are the value pick.
Tip: Boston Celtics -4.5 at 1.91 odds
