Taking the Wizards to put together a three-game winning streak might seem ambitious. Washington has shown signs of progress in its last two games, though, and the Grizzlies could be without as many as 12 players.

The Memphis Grizzlies have the worst net rating in the league since the All-Star break. Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Ziaire Williams, Brandon Clarke, Marcus Smart, and Derrick Rose are among the confirmed absentees.

This has been a nightmare season on the injury front. It’s no surprise the Grizz are 25th in net rating overall and have slipped to a 4-16 run. Even their ultra-deep roster cannot cope with this number of high-profile absentees.

Memphis is looking ahead to next season. While they managed to grind out wins over the Nets and Sixers earlier this month, they have their work cut out on Tuesday night. Washington is playing with renewed confidence, and the Grizz are going through the motions at this point.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS INJURY REPORT, TEAM NEWS, SCHEDULE

A pair of wins have tied the Washington Wizards with the Detroit Pistons for the worst record in the NBA. Washington beating the Hornets on Friday wasn’t exactly a shock, but getting the better of the Miami Heat on Sunday was certainly more of a surprise.

Moving Jordan Poole to the bench has worked wonders. Kyle Kuzma dropped 32 against the Heat a couple of nights ago, and while Poole’s production has continued to fluctuate, Washington’s starting five has looked much more balanced without Poole’s subpar decision-making and shot-chucking.

Injuries to Marvin Bagley III and Richaun Holmes leave the Wizards lacking size in the frontcourt, but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue against this Grizzlies team. The additional spacing by playing without a traditional center should help Washington’s offense create good looks.
